A very painful week too has come to an end in Dynasty Fantasy Football, but just because there are a ton of injuries does not mean there's not a ton of fun and interesting things that we get to talk about. If you like videos like this, hit like, hit subscribe, leave a comment, let us know what rookies you've been most impressed with early in the 2026 season. This is Dynasty Points. This is The Rookie Report, and it starts right now.

Hello, everybody. Welcome back to Dynasty Points. A lot happened in week two with the 2026 rookie class. We got a good look at how things are going to shape. It's very hard to look at rookies on a one-week sample. But as we get further and further into the season, we really start to see some progression in usage, and personnel, and everything that we need to get a clear picture. So guys, we have each picked a couple of rookies here that we are excited to talk about. I'm excited to dive into it.

Jakob, I want to send it to you first. Who do you want to kind of kick us off with?

Jakob Sanderson (2:35)

I want to talk about Jenarian Price. And I'll first note that there's an elephant in the room here, which is that he suffered a shoulder injury. It was originally reported as a chest injury, but apparently it's a shoulder injury in the third quarter of this game, which is of completely unknown severity. So I'm going to kind of proceed under the assumption he's fine because the injury happened when the game was well out of hand and I haven't heard any reportings that it's anything major, but that's obviously a major caveat.

I'm really curious to see how the market responds to week two and especially to Price's first two weeks, because I thought the week two was a pretty significant step forward in certain ways. They really did change the rotation from week one. Week one, it was Halani and Price in basically an even snap split with Price playing more on early downs, but not that much more and Halani playing all the pass downs and Wilson barely played. He mixed in for a couple of short yardage opportunities. That was it.

Week two, Price started every single drive until he left with injury, but the exception of their two-minute drill before half. Wilson did mix in on a lot of those drives, but he was to me just a pretty clear-cut lead back.

The big fly in the ointment remained the short yardage stuff.

Wilson was mixing in for short yardage carries throughout. Price got a carry from the seven-yard line on a first and goal, got it down to the three or the four, and then Wilson got three consecutive carries. It was also three consecutive stuffs, which was always funny to see.

Price even fumbled in this game, didn't seem to affect his playing time. He immediately got the first touch of the next drive after the fumble. Actually, after Wilson got stuffed three straight times to the goal line, Price got a carry from the first and goal from the five. So not like right on the goal line, but pretty close to the goal line. Unfortunately, he tossed play, completely blown up, lost of two, then they passed it in, goes to JSN. So overall, like I thought that was a signal that maybe he would get a bit more of a chance in some of the short yardage stuff. And most of all, I just want to see progression. We saw that where it went from Helani and him almost splitting early down work evenly to Price being pretty clearly the lead back on early downs, even if some of the short started stuff remains annoying. In terms of how he looked, I thought it was a bit more of a mixed bag from week one, where there was a couple of just incorrect reads, where he was bouncing things inside or outside in ways that he shouldn't. But I also thought there were a lot of wow plays. And Tom had the tweet up earlier for me, which said Price and incredibly ironically, Ken Walker are the only two running backs in the NFL with 20 carry through two weeks who ranked top five in both, missed tackles force per attempt, yards after contact per attempt. I think all in all, he's looked at the part and been quite impressive, and we saw progression of workload from week one to week two.
