Steelers, D Tackle, Derrick Harmon will be placed on the IR. He was carted off the field after the game. He suffered a foot injury in Thursday's night game against the Browns.

Yo, how bad is this gonna hurt us?

Joe Haden (0:16)

Ah, this is where we doing this self-cleaning, this self-evaluating. People gonna have to be in their gaps. We not gonna be needing to be out here pick a booing.

It's gonna be what it's gonna be, Deebo. He was a great inside interior run force for us. So, you know, our run game has been one of the problems. So, this next man up, whoever is in there, I'm saying, we're gonna have to not, no pick a booze. People are gonna have to be, literally, it sounds so basic. But that, win every play. Every play, execute your assignments. Don't give up no blown stuff. I'm gonna sound like a broken record because that's all it is.

That's all that we have to do. If people are doing their jobs every single play and on their assignment, you're gonna lose a couple because that's where they get paid to.

We're gonna see when everything matches up, when you're in your right positions, then we'll be able to live with the result. When we're seeing just things of, you're not where you need to be, you're pick a booing, you're biting the cheese, you're busting coverages. Take this simple stuff out and let's live with the plays when you just get beat, because they're actually better than you, they get paid too. So with everybody that's going to be in there, it's always like next man up, but that's a professional lineman. We're going to have to have every 11 people doing their one 11th at the same time, every play. So when we go to the normal sees of it, that's all it is. Football is very, very, very simple when you come to the basics. So everybody's trying to make it, oh no, no, no, on that play, there's one person that probably messed up. On each play that you see, there's one play. There's 10 other dudes out there that did the exact right thing on the play, then there'll be one. And each play you can go through and just bust that down. You gotta eliminate those. And it sounds easy, but just the basis of boom, being where you need to be. Then you have, then you fight the battles of, oh, am I better than you? Let's make this play. Who's going to make the play? And we'll live with those all day. But don't be out of your spot. Don't be pick a boon. And that's the reason why we're losing.

We can't live with that. With anybody, a backup, a second string, a third string, anybody you know, you're going to be in your spot. And then I can evaluate how you make a play. Then can you make a play or not? But first and foremost, be lined up. You're going to be where you're going to be. You're going to be in your gap.

James Harrison (2:34)

So after that, okay, Alignment, assignment, execution.

Joe Haden (2:37)

That's it, Deebo.

James Harrison (2:40)

See what you're supposed to see so you could be where you're supposed to be and make the plays you're supposed to make.

It's simple, but with us not having- That's going to hurt.

That's going to hurt. We got Taylor coming up in here. Right now, it'll be what, Cam and Ben. I'm not worried about Cam. I'm a little worried about Ben because he'll like to try and spin up out of something, swim up out of something.

In between those, that center to that guard right outside the inside of the tackle, that's a tough area to be in when you got to take up two bodies. And just from what we've seen over the course of the last couple of years, him being in there and having to do that, it hasn't been a very productive consistency of him being able to do that, play in and play out. And the way, whoo man, Taylor, the dude, they're gonna run the ball and they don't do nothing else. They go keep front of the ball. So our interior linemen are gonna have to hold up. We're gonna have to shore up tackles, fit cleanly, hit through, not reach to. Hit through, not reach to. That way we shore up the tackles. We make sure we get the dudes on the ground. We can't be sliding off, falling off the ball like we were doing against Cleveland because he is a far better running back than when we faced over there in Cleveland. So the combination of missing Harmon can be a thing. We're gonna need, what's his name? Sebastian Dayton. We're gonna need him in there. We're gonna need him to step up. Actually, I saw his film over there, man. When he was in LA, man, he was doing some work. Like, I don't know how he played through camp, through training camp, through everything else, but I feel like if things start getting heavy and that's the issue, I feel like he can get in there just from what I've seen on his film in LA and he can get it done. I'll have a-
