Yeah, man, we got a little bit of catching up to do with the Steelers, with the Browns, you know? Do a little back to the future, and bring it back to the future of the future. You know, just kind of roll with it from there.
You know what I'm saying? But let's go ahead and just start with the Steelers, man. So before the Jets game, Mike McCarthy, he had said that he announced Mason Rudolph and Aaron Rodgers would not play against New York. And instead, Will Howard would get to start, followed by Drew Aller. So, this is what he said.

You got a plan for QB, Mike?

**Mike McCarthy** (3:49)
I'm sorry? Do you have a plan for QB for the Jets game quarterbacks? Yeah, we're going to play the two young guys for the Jets game. They are our focus.
I mean, we've got a couple of guys that are still coming back on the medical department. We've got 48 hours, I'll get all that stuff. I'll probably get that tee here in the next 48 hours. I'm sure you have it ready. Try to get some work on the turf.

What's the thought process behind just getting Will and then Drew those meaningful reps?

**Mike McCarthy** (4:24)
Oh, I think you understand. They're young, but Will didn't get to play last year because Drew's a first-year player. They'll have two veterans that they're really good about, obviously with Aaron and Mason. Saw what I needed to see from Mason last week.
I'm talking about Mason really since the spring, so I really want to max out the opportunities with both Will and Drew.

Well, it was, but Mike McCarthy, when he was talking about, he had seen all he needed to see from Aaron Rodgers. I understand that, but Mason Rudolph, I kind of didn't understand it, but looking back at it right now, I think I'm just surprised that he actually was considering Mason, but as I go and I look back at his film, I go through the practice, I look at all the stuff.
Mason doing this thing, and I think it was a couple weeks ago when he was, like he said, he had talked about Mason, you know, he had glowing, like he was like, he said, I can tell you, where did they go?
There it is. He said, I can tell, I can't tell you how pleased I am with him. The experience that he's gained, I think is incredible value to us, but the footwork is different.
Throws are better than I knew, than I knew just like in a quarterback, just like any quarterback in the room, you really don't know until you stand next to them, you're out there on the field, really how each guy throws the ball. So, that right there just led me to believe that our one or two quarterbacks is gonna be, of course Aaron, and then to my surprise, looks like it's gonna be Mason. So I'm like, I gotta look and see what's going on. So like, what was he missing? Like, and I go back and I'm like, it gotta be, gotta be Mike McCarthy. It gotta be Mike McCarthy, the whole new, it's a whole new culture stack. So like, that's the only thing that I'm saying, I'm thinking is missing is you got you a new coach, you got you a new coordinator. And when you go through the process of you looking at everything and you look what coordinators Mason ended up having, and get your hands off my food. And he had, man, he grabbed my food. He had Randy Featner, which was 18 through 20 He had Canada 20 win through 23 And then he had a combination, I guess, after they fired Canada of Eddie Faulkner and Mike Sullivan in 23 They were like interim OCs or something like that. So I'm looking, Featner's retired. Canada, he hasn't even gotten, he hasn't got a job since. And the other two guys, running back coach for Faulkner's, running back coach for the Ravens, and Mike Sullivan is the quarterback coach for Las Vegas. So nobody there actually went and was an OC again.
