Deebo and Joe Part 2: Browns name Deshaun Watson the starting Quarterback for the Browns

Joe, your boy Watson is the starting quarterback. Yep. They said, he would be the quarterback for you guys, brother. I guess the thought process, I guess that's going through right now is, I guess, throw that tweet up there.
It's kind of crazy, you know what I'm saying? I'm just looking at it, thinking about it, and maybe it is. The thought process. That's what you got to do, he's like, yo, part of the thought process behind Deshaun Watson, the brown starter is that they opened the season with two games on the road at Jacksonville and Tampa before returning home in week three. They would give Watson two games to prove himself away from the fan base if he struggles, Shador could take over in front of the home crowd after the booze Watson's received Saturday, Joe. What do you think of that thought process?

I think, we think, everybody think, but we think this is the thought process that I would think of trying to rationalize why you started.

That sound, I think it would be smarter for them to go ahead and let him do what he does and then be like, you know what? We gave him his chance. He killed it. It ain't gonna happen. We ain't going back to him. And now we put him off on the back burner and we just scoot everybody up on the roster. See, he could be the back, back, back up. Like 3D, you know what I'm saying? Like, but if he go out here and he ball out, he get, he go out there, he do that thing and do that thing there. And then he come back and he, you can't, you can't boy me. Then went out there and, and, and, and, and put the, and put the, put the numbers on the line, put the stats that y'all want to see, you know, out there and came away with two because of him, not because of the defense, it's because of him.
Then, yeah, everything's good. And if it don't work out and he's playing like he played last, what, Saturday or anywhere close to it, yes. Hey, we going home, we gave him the two games. Now we doing our, I guess, due diligence of being like, all right, we go give him two and now he ain't got to, I don't even know why that, I don't know. But I understand what he said. That sound like that's, that's a possibility. What do you think?

It sound like a, it sounds like a possibility, but this is what I'm going to say to Deebo.
It seems like we putting him in a, like, I don't want him not to succeed. So that's the part. Like if we start, when we start Deshaun, I'm a Browns fan. I want our team to do well. I don't want him to go out there and not do well. So the goal is if he goes out there, please play well. Hopefully he can do his thing. And then it would just be crazy. Cause then if he goes back to Cleveland and we're 2-0 and Deshaun Watson is the starter, he's getting booed. I'm like, God, come on Browns fans.
Do we really do, are we really just wanting Shador to start or do we want to win games? So my thing is if he's playing well, if he's playing well, yes, keep him out there for sure. I want him to succeed.
But if he doesn't do well, obviously we got those two games. We're going to be able to look at it and see what's going on. When we come in that thing 0-2, it's going to be easy for the passers to be in there booing all out for the season opener. So it would make sense to be able to get Shador in there. So I can see it, but I'm not doing that for, in the case of start him out there at the beginning. Hopefully he plays like ass and then we can switch over Shador so he can start. I don't want that to be the situation. I want if we can start Watson, let's go and give him the best opportunity. Go out there, please, ball. Look like you did the first preseason game. He didn't throw the ball still down field yet. He's still throwing a little bit of check downs, being pretty smart with it. You know what I'm saying? So I just want him to protect the ball, look good if he's out there. But if not, you know why I stand. But I want him to go out there, perform well. If he does, I'm cheering, I'm rooting. I'm not praying for his downfall so then we can just get Shador in the game. Do you know what I'm saying? So that's why I just say that because I want, I like Shador, but at the end of the day, Deshaun, if you go out there and you perform, please brother, you're fighting for the rest of your career right now. You're trying to get that next deal from another team, still showing that you can actually do something. Last preseason game was not good. Your first preseason game, I was like, okay, boom, looking good. So we're going to be able to see what's going on on the tape. But you got Jacksonville, but you got to go out there and pop off. I think it's Tampa next, so we got two.
