It's day 27 of 31 days of podcasting. Oh no, it's almost over, but it's not over yet, we're still here. So day 27, today kind of got away from me. I didn't realize how late it was, but here we are. You're listening to a podcast, and it's called Liz Gets Loaded, and it's about money and anxiety, and I'm posting a new episode every single day in, oh my gosh, I almost said October, but it's August. I was like, in, in, ah. I knew it started with an ah, but I almost said October, but it's not October, it's August. Like I said, it's kind of late. I was in the office this morning, and I carpooled with someone, so I had to leave a little bit earlier than I would normally leave. So I got up early, I was in the office all day, and then traffic was bananas on the way home. It took us over an hour. So got home, and just kind of like, my mom always used to say, putzed around, just putzed around the house. Like I took a shower, I had to blow dry my hair.

I watched part of the New Heights podcast with Taylor Swift. I'd seen a bunch of clips on it online. I watched like a good chunk of it, and then I looked down and realized it was two hours long. And I was like, I can't, that's too much. I'll just, I assume all the good parts made it an eclipse, and I'll see them all eventually. Eat some dinner, scroll down the internet. I did a little short workout. And then I started measuring things, because I was thinking about putting a different little entry table in our entryway. And anyway, so I got the measuring tape out, and I was really like, just puttering around, making plans. And then all of a sudden, I looked up, and I was like, I literally need to get in, I should be getting in bed right now. And before I do that, let me make sure that I get my podcast up for the day, because I would be really sad if I broke the streak on day 27 But I'm actually feeling really, suddenly I just feel very much more settled than at home here. You might remember that we have been living in, like, a good-sized house. I call it our big house. It wasn't huge, but it was big for us. We've spent a lot of our adult years living in small homes, lots of those years in one-bedroom apartments. But in early pandemic days, like a lot of people, we kind of like way over-corrected and bought a big home. And we each had our own office and a guest room and just a dedicated gym space. And it made sense in early pandemic days when we were spending absolutely all of our time at our house, but recently, we tried an experiment. I thought, my big house era might be over, and let's try moving into a one-bedroom apartment. Let's just try it and see how it feels. And almost immediately, we were like, this feels great. And then, I guess we just decided to stay because now we've been here for about three months, and it's feeling really good. So we're staying for the foreseeable future. We have a lot of flexibility. We can basically stay here as long as we would like to. The upside is that it's feeling really good. The downside is that we are currently paying for two homes, and we got to figure out if we want to rent or sell our house, and I will keep you posted. But because this was a temporary experiment move, we brought our bed and some desks so that we can work, and a couch, and a couple of chairs, and moved in with the minimum, but didn't really have any art on the walls.
