I was sitting there watching it live with my brother, and my hands were sweating watching it. I was like, I said something to him. I'm like, I don't care if you're trying to win a major championship, whatever you're trying to do. There's no more pressure than this shot right now. What's going through your mind as you get over that? To try to not think about all those things I just said.

Davis Lamb (0:17)

Yeah, so I mean, to go back, I was walking up to the 18T after what I feel like was probably the biggest birdie of my life on 17, because that put me in a spot where, so had I not birdied 17 and then I bogeyed 18, then we're out, almost guaranteed. So to get that birdie on 17 was, I mean, I can't really use the word of relief, because the second that putt dropped, my heart rate jumped up to like 170

Colt Knost (0:51)

All right, here we go. Welcome back to Subpar with Colt Knost and Drew Stoltz. No golf this week on the PGA Tour schedule, sleaze, but how we living?

Drew Stoltz (1:01)

Living phenomenal. Just got back, I've been playing some golf.

Colt Knost (1:04)

Yeah, you have.

Drew Stoltz (1:04)

I've been playing some golf. Member guest here.

Colt Knost (1:07)

You're like Eric Colt.

Drew Stoltz (1:07)

Up to New York, got to play up there to Scotland. Back, just got back from Virginia, playing the member guest with my brother out of River Bend Country Club, Great Falls, Virginia. Shout out to them, by the way, I had a phenomenal time. Great golf course, old school, rough, bunch of slope on the greens. It's like premier time of the year to be down there. Greens were perfect.

Colt Knost (1:24)

Is that the Fox logo?

Drew Stoltz (1:25)

The Fox with the trench coat is one of the great logos in the sport that we have right now. It was founded by like whatever year it was founded. It was by like, I believe FBI agents founded the place and there's Foxes everywhere. So they put a trench coat on it. Dude, it's one, is that not one of the sickest logos? It's on everything as it should be. I'm like, dude, this is, you got to lean into this.

SPEAKER_4 (1:44)

Thanks for bringing me a hat.

Drew Stoltz (1:45)

Came back with some Foxes. Oh, they didn't have your size.

SPEAKER_4 (1:48)

I look for you, dude. They were all out.

Drew Stoltz (1:50)

They were all out. They didn't have any mediums left, dude. I figured you're a medium now, but I had a great time. Shout out to everyone at Riverbend. We did run into like the last day, it was 80 all week, 79, wind blowing zero. I just got back from Scott and I was like, oh, this is exactly what I needed. Maybe add a little link to this backswing. And then Saturday, final day, mid fifties blowing 20 and a little rain involved. So all the gear came back out. We did not win. Couldn't make it back to back. Damn it, Jeff. Couldn't make it back to back, remember, guys. We battled hard.

One team just ran away and hid in our flight. But huge thanks to Riverbend, man. There were some very nice people came up, listened to the show, good people, great place.

Colt Knost (2:32)

Do we need to send Yip Strickler after these guys that ran away with it?

Drew Stoltz (2:34)

I don't think so. I think it was fairly legit. My brothers close to them knows the deal. They just played some good golf. A lot of pops going on. You're part of those. You can handle your business down there. But hell of a good, oh, we got an ace made on it.

We had an ace for a zero in there that happened on us, which was kind of sick. It was the dude's first hole in one ever. So it was like pretty cool. Ace for zero. And then like there's one other hole. Then the last hole holes out for Beagle for two. I was like, so a zero and a two. Like we just played, you play the last two, the last three, like six under.

Colt Knost (3:06)

Y'all win.

Drew Stoltz (3:07)

Yeah, we didn't win that one, as you can imagine, but it was sweet. And you, big congratulations to you, the newest inductee of the Texas Golf Amateur Hall of Fame, Colt Knost, congratulations.

Colt Knost (3:19)

Thank you. Yes. Appreciate it very much.

SPEAKER_4 (3:20)

You got a glow about you right now.
