This episode is brought to you by Nationwide. Everyone knows that to win in fantasy, you need players that can be so much more. The QB that can throw for 400 yards and rush for a touchdown, the defense that can snag a pick six, or the running back who can also bring in 15 receptions. It's like how Nationwide is so much more than a great insurance company. They're one of America's largest financial services companies too. Now that gets the start. For your insurance and financial needs, Nationwide is on your side.

On today's episode of The Ringer Fantasy Football Show, I'm super depressed about Jaxson Dart who might be out for the entire season. We were doing bylaws in fantasy football, people who potentially panic trade, target. We have fantasy court. We have Ringer Fantasy Football League update where someone hears in first place, maybe multiple people here in first place.

Craig Horlbeck (1:23)

And no one hears in last.

Danny Heifetz (1:27)

And a pretty remarkable email from Max. So all that and more after a conveniently timed advertising break.

Welcome to The Ringer Fantasy Football Show. My name is Danny Heifetz. I'm joined by Danny Kelly and Craig Horlbeck and Jaxson Dart might be out for the season. Football's dumb.

Danny Kelly (2:39)

Why do we do this to ourselves?

Danny Heifetz (2:40)

I don't know.

Craig Horlbeck (2:41)

Heifetz, are you upset that Jaxson Dart, Malik Neighbors and Kam Scadaboo have been on the field together for only three and a half percent of the Giants' total offensive plays in the last two seasons?

Danny Kelly (2:54)

Three and a half percent.

Danny Heifetz (2:56)

The number I saw was 70 snaps. Three and a half percent is even worse because now it's like 96 and a half percent. I mean, that, yeah, no, it sucks. I could, you know, we're going to go over, like, you know, fantasy trade candidates, bylaws, all that stuff will do fantasy court. But yeah, the Giants got rocked by the Rams on Monday football. I don't think that personally the Giants weirdly could have won the game, but like that's it doesn't matter. Like Jackson's are cut her in the first drive and we could talk all about it. But the fact that the snip snap emotional toll roller coaster of, oh, I think he's his leg is dead to he's fine. He's back on the field. He wanted to come back into the game to it's an MCL sprain. Lip readers are saying 46 weeks. I hate those people. They're like, actually might be two to four weeks. Then it's like JK may be out for the season. No one will tell me what it is, but it's really bad guys. And I'm like, you know what?

I don't know whether to be like distraught and miserable, or I think my real takeaway from all this is I am in retrospect, incredibly grateful for Eli Manning, who became the starting quarterback for the Giants when I was in fourth grade, and then did not miss another game until I was like a staff writer at The Ringer at 24

Craig Horlbeck (4:11)

That's wild.

Danny Heifetz (4:12)

And I now after seven years of Daniel Jones and two seasons of Jaxson Dart, really missed the whole never missed a football game for 16 years thing.

Craig Horlbeck (4:23)

Are you advocating for the pocket passer coming back? Is it the reckless young quarterback that you're bemoaning?

Danny Heifetz (4:29)

Don't blame the reckless thing. Stop. It was look, it was a seven step track drop in shotgun. Maybe the whole play was bad. I will say ironically, so Jackson people probably seen the play by now. He gets hit, gets his leg whipped, whatever.
