Welcome to Two Sixteen, A Link to the Past Randomizer Podcast. I am your host, your agent. We've got an excellent show today. One of my all-time favorite guests, Dapper Wormman, is on the show. And we talk a lot of rando, but Dapper Wormman is an editor. And if you've listened to the show, you know how much of a movie fan I am. I've got another podcast, Movies I Missed. Go check that out, moviesimissed.com, where we talk about movies that we missed.
Anyways, big movie fan, big TV fan. Just love that world. And when I got a chance to talk to Dapper about it, I feel like it dominated the conversation. And to be honest, it could have been almost all of that. I really enjoyed hearing his respect of this, especially from someone who works in the industry. And yeah, just really valued our time together and really enjoyed hearing his story. So, excellent episode. I do want to apologize. We recorded this before the main tournament started. We've got one more episode with GFE, and again, apologies to him as well. These should have come out a long time ago, but they've been on the back burner. And it's not because I didn't want them to get out, it's just things got away from me. So, apologies to Dapper, one man. Excited for everyone to hear this episode. It's a good one. I really, really enjoy talking with him. Speaking of the main tournament that's going on, it is in the bracket stage. So, there was, it looks like 111 qualified for the main tournament this year. Normally, it's 128 They didn't get enough participation, but did get 111, so that's awesome. And we're on to the brackets. And I think GMO was the number one overall seed in the brackets, I'm not sure. Here's one thing that I would like to see the main tournament adopt, and that's some of the Discord integrations. Like for the Two Sixteen Co-op Tournament, all the results are right there in the Discord. So if you ever wanted to look and see who won, just check the Discord. I think Krosky's Tournament does that as well. It's really, really convenient. Trying to follow along on challenge or start.gg is kind of tough. So having a place where you can just go and see who's won, who's lost the times and all that stuff is really convenient. So hopefully the main tournament can adopt that. The league obviously has that all built into the website courtesy of Sigma. So that's pretty cool too. It'd be nice if the main tournament had that, because I don't really know what happened. I do know that we're into round three-ish. We've got some people that have made round three. So as I mentioned, Jammo, who's my teammate, and I believe was the number one overall seed, is into the third round. He ended up being pretty long, and he's going to be going up against Sean Rhapsody on that side of the bracket. Sean beat Tyler Stolt in round one, and Two-Seen in round two. Two tough opponents. Looks like we've got LateBit and Lana Bean still in round two, with Lana Bean up a game. Hayfield Bay and Clink don't have any games registered yet. Flip Heel is on to round three. It looks like he had a round one buy. He's waiting the winner of Bread, and Bread's waiting the winner of Julo Ninja and Tumran. So still some round one matches to go. GFE looks like he had a buy, and was able to get past Plasma Kappa. So GFE, who's going to be our next episode guest, is already in to round three. He's waiting the winner of Skelly, and Skelly is waiting for the winner of Dr. Bowser versus Incoherent. So yeah, there's still a lot going on. Structural Mike and Zaph are still have a game of three. They're going to take on Faker Jr. Gilgamesh is up a game on Raynox. Teto is up a game on Hitsu. Looks like we've got Gamachu and Tenet in round two.
Jesse, I believe, just knocked out Shinmaru and it looks like he'll be going against Telethar. That's going to be a tough one. Telethar beat Homewrecker and we've got Zelga versus Zyzen short. I'm sorry. I apologize for mispronouncing that. He beat, or they beat PH in round two. Zelga beat Willard J. Bradley in round two. So shaping up to be an interesting round three as we head into the end of the main tournament season. You know, money's always got to be on your gamut shoe. The GMO has just like been on a tear. It'll be cool to see GMO, my league teammate, win one. Zelga, you know, I'm always rooting for Zelga and he's still in it, so it'll be cool to see Zelga win one. Telethar wouldn't be surprised to see him win. GFE would be super fun as well. But yeah, a lot of, I mean, any of these people will be awesome to see them win, but just some of those names have either been on the show or people that I like to root for. Main tournament's happening. Their league hasn't announced the next season yet, but they did put out a feedback form for Season 8 Solo Mode. It's cool that they are putting the feelers out to the community to see what people want. For the Solo Mode, it says we aim to balance familiarity, challenge, and intrigue. To that end, we have considered several candidates, including Open Blackout Bingo with custom cards requiring defeating Ganon, Standard with randomized weapons, and Inverted 2 with possible variations. Maybe keys, maybe not. And then to the final selection, it isn't limited to these candidates. Your input can influence what is chosen. Please discuss if these modes or any other suggestions appeal to you as solo modes for the upcoming season in their League Feedback Forum. So check that out if you have any comments or suggestions on those modes. If I was to vote, I actually think all of these are interesting. I've never played a lot of bingo, but I think it'd be kind of fun. I like Standard with randomized weapons, but if you already have Kazboots, I don't know how. I don't know. I like that mode. Standard with randomized weapons is just fun. Having to do escape with like bombs or whatever is always, I don't know, it just makes it interesting. The one thing that I know people have complained about with Standard or randomized weapons is the fact that you have to get lucky with bomb drops, so I don't know. Inverted 2 is actually spicy as well. I'm not as familiar with 2.0, but I know they've made a lot of quality of life adjustments for the new Inverted or Inverted 2.0. So I haven't played it, but I think that could be interesting. So I think all three of them are fun. We'll see when the league is happening. I imagine we'll get an announcement around the time that the main tournament ends, which will be in a few weeks. Other than that, not a lot going on. I've been playing a little bit more, been having fun with it. I've also not had fun with it, which is what happens. I've been playing a lot of co-op with with Jammo. That's just the mode I really enjoy. It's just fun. I really love that. What else? The end of the year. I know Go Mode has got some stuff coming up. I think they just announced that they're going to be doing another mentor tournament, glitched mentor tournament. They're going to be doing a glitch mentor tournament. If you have any interest in that, go check out the Go Mode podcast. I think that will be a lot of fun. I think it went over really well the last time they did it. It might have been a couple of different times, but you can sign up to race that and learn about all the glitch stuff over at the Go Mode Discord. Check that out. I think that's it for community stuff. Next episode will be with GFE. I mentioned that and then we'll see where we go from here. But for today, we've got Dapper Warman. Again, great conversations. One of my favorite conversations I've had with anybody on the show.
