All right, if you hear the sound of my voice, it means I'm at Laguna Seca doing a race, which is my only bright spot in the entire year. So I'm enjoying myself.
On the track, if you get out to Laguna Seca, come find me driving a BRE 510, red, white and blue, you can find me. In the meantime, you can listen to Dan Aykroyd. That's right, we're doing a Best Of couple. We got Dan Aykroyd with a great interview. So enjoy that on this rest of Best Of week.

From Carolla One Studios in Glendale, California, this is The Adam Carolla Show. Adam's guest today, Dan Aykroyd. And now, who you gonna call? Not him. He doesn't know how to use his phone.
Adam Carolla.
**Adam Carolla** (2:25)
Yeah, get it on. Got to get on the church with the gun mandate. Get it on and welcome to an episode that I'm really excited about. Mr. Dan Aykroyd has joined me in studio.
I was at the Crystal Head Vodka, one we'll call it party at the Magic Castle the other night.
**Dan Aykroyd** (2:44)
Sorry, I missed you there. I'm sorry. The ballet kept asking my car to move, and so I had to move my car three times and then I gave up and I didn't go back inside. I'm very sorry to have to admit. It was a fun night.
**Adam Carolla** (2:56)
Yeah, I agree. I knew I would see you today.
**Dan Aykroyd** (3:00)
Here we are.
**Adam Carolla** (3:00)
Here we are. I've been a fan for as long as I can remember.
I always watched SNL from Jump Street, and I always respected your work because you were such a wordsmith and so concise with the way you delivered your words. I felt like you take like you and Steve Martin doing the Swing and Check Brothers. His was a sort of comical man. His was a sort of over the top kind of almost nonsense version of it.
**Dan Aykroyd** (3:36)
He's a very stylish guy, that guy.
**Adam Carolla** (3:38)
But you were doing the accent with like precision. I always thought as a young person, I thought, man, this guy is concise. Like all the characters, even basso-matic stuff and Jane, you ignorant, what do you call her?
**Dan Aykroyd** (3:57)
Jane, you ignorant slut.
**SPEAKER_6** (3:58)
Slut, right. It was all.
**Dan Aykroyd** (4:00)
You miserable bag of slunk meat. You miserable bag of slunk meat. Yes. That was Jim Downey's writing right there though. But well, to address that about concession or yeah. You know, I grew up in a government town, and my parents worked for the government, and they used to, my mother typed papers in college, my dad wrote up a lot of papers. And I worked for the government writing papers for several departments, the penitentiary service, the department of public works. And there was one other job that I had there where I had to write a lot of, and you had to be very concise and precise and articulate in very little time because, you know, the average government bureaucrat above me, you know, the attention span wouldn't be there. So you had to grab them, you know. But it is slurry seal, it's slurry seal asphalt.
