Little listener discretion is advised. It is Wednesday, and we are live. It is September the 23rd. Are we supposed to see some sun today?
Marybeth (1:56)
It was beautiful yesterday. The sun came out for like a split second.
Rizzuto (1:59)
I know. I think people are sad.
I haven't seen the sun in two days. I'm sad. It's getting to people, guys. It's getting to people. People are salty. We can't be having that.
Jeff Burton (2:12)
Already?
Rizzuto (2:13)
Already.
Jeff Burton (2:15)
Man, it's almost.
Rizzuto (2:16)
It's been two days.
Jeff Burton (2:17)
No pleasing people.
Rizzuto (2:18)
No, it's been two days.
Chris Kerber (2:20)
But also, don't you want fall to start this way where it feels like fall?
Rizzuto (2:23)
It does. It does feel a little like fall.
Jeff Burton (2:26)
I love it.
Rizzuto (2:28)
The doom and gloom.
Jeff Burton (2:29)
It would be nice to have some moderate temps, but.
Rizzuto (2:32)
Okay. And a little sunshine.
Jeff Burton (2:34)
All right. Yeah, whatever. Don't be 100 degrees. I'm cool.
Rizzuto (2:38)
Dude, I did something yesterday.
Jeff Burton (2:39)
I should be grateful for that.
Rizzuto (2:41)
I did something yesterday that I felt like it was illegal.
Marybeth (2:45)
Oh my gosh, what was it?
Rizzuto (2:46)
I renewed my plates online.
Marybeth (2:47)
Oh, wait.
Lern (2:48)
Amazing, right?
Marybeth (2:48)
I'm so jealous. Isn't it the most amazing technology that's ever existed?
Lern (2:53)
First time.
Moon Valjean (2:54)
It's the greatest thing that came to be just in time for Missouri to do this thing for EVs, where they make me go in every year and pay a fuel tax for a sticker.
Lern (3:03)
Oh, you've got to go in? I got to go in. You're not eligible?
King Scott (3:05)
I got to go in every year.
Moon Valjean (3:08)
I said, I can't I just do it like for two years or three years like you can do it from platin, like no, we need you to come in.
Rizzuto (3:13)
We need you to come in to drop that check off.
Marybeth (3:15)
This is interesting that we're talking about this scenario in a different thing. I was with a dermatologist the other day, and I have a prescription that I'm on Spirolactone for my hormonal acne. And I have to go in like every three months to like get the refill. And I finally was like, why do I have to do this? And finally now we'll be doing once a year to make sure that things are going well.
Rizzuto (3:35)
I've tried the online plate renewal before.
Moon Valjean (3:39)
QR code, right? It comes on a little card?
Marybeth (3:41)
Yes.
Rizzuto (3:41)
It comes on the card and you just go on to that website.
Marybeth (3:44)
And it's because you have a newer car and your emissions are all good and everything's perfect, right?
Rizzuto (3:48)
So it's my wife's car.
So a 2020 Toyota Highlander. And I've tried before and it's always like you're missing something, you need to come in.
Marybeth (3:56)
Yes.
Rizzuto (3:57)
So my wife went to get the emissions test yesterday. She came home, she goes, I got it done. I go, all right, let's see if this works.
Moon Valjean (4:03)
I thought we were getting rid of that.
Rizzuto (4:04)
No, it's still required.
Moon Valjean (4:07)
Okay.
Rizzuto (4:07)
There's been talk. We haven't pulled the trigger on that yet.
Marybeth (4:10)
Missouri's a mess.
Jeff Burton (4:11)
So how do you get the emissions test proven online to get your plates?
Rizzuto (4:15)
I guess once they put it in the system.
Jeff Burton (4:17)
Okay.
Rizzuto (4:18)
Once it's in the system, it's in the system. So she's like, I got it done. I go, okay.
I'm going to roll the dice here. Clickety clack.
