I mean, I could see like if you had a clot and you're increasing blood flow and you're rubbing certain parts and you pop a clot loose, like, it was probably going to happen, but it might have exacerbated. Yes. I mean, I have no medical leg to stand on here. I'm just spitballing.

It makes sense to me from a logical standpoint, but that doesn't mean I'm right.

A stroke occurs when blood flow to a part of the brain is interrupted, preventing brain tissue from receiving necessary oxygen and nutrients. This interruption causes rapid death of brain cells and sudden neurological problems.
While extremely uncommon, certain types of manual manipulation of the neck have been associated with an increased risk of stroke.
The most common event linking external force from manipulation to a stroke is an arterial dissection which involves a tear in the inner lining of the artery wall. This injury often occurs in arteries that may have already been weakened or predisposed to damage. Then the mechanical stress applied during certain movements can exceed the arteries structural integrity initiating a tear.
