I think I was, at Grant's Farm, if I do recall, where you could ride the camel in the circle is right outside the beer garden. So I'm like, let me go ride the camel and grab a free beer.

**Scott (King Scott)** (1:50)
Yeah.

**Rafe Williams** (1:50)
What a day. Just talking about they found a mosquito with West Nile down in De Soto.

**Rizzuto (Host)** (1:59)
What?

**Rafe Williams** (2:00)
Yeah, now we got that to worry about.

**Moon** (2:02)
Well, how do they find it? Did somebody get infected?

**Rafe Williams** (2:05)
No, you know what they do? And they have these little boxes attached to trees in my subdivision. But they, I think the county puts them out or whatever municipality, these little white boxes.
I cut them down, of course, because it was ruining the aesthetic of the neighborhood. I appreciate that.

**Scott** (2:20)
You're not to be surveilled.

**Rafe Williams** (2:21)
No, it's not surveillance. It just ruined the look of the neighborhood. I don't want these little white boxes on the nice Bradberry pear trees up and down my subdivision. Bradberry pears, huh?

**Moon** (2:30)
Oh yeah. We all love the Bradberry, the Brad for pears.

**Rafe Williams** (2:33)
Oh, Bradberry. Did I say Bradberry?

**Moon** (2:34)
I don't know what you said.

**Scott (King Scott)** (2:35)
Bradford. I like Bradberry's too.

**Scott** (2:37)
Bradberry pears.

**Rafe Williams** (2:39)
But yeah, I think the people of the DeSoto found a West Nile mosquito.

**Moon** (2:49)
I guess it's good that they found it before they found somebody with it.

**Rafe Williams** (2:54)
Have they?

**Moon** (2:56)
I'm not sure, man.

**Rafe Williams** (3:00)
Have you known anybody to get the West Nile virus?

**Lauren (Lern)** (3:02)
No, thankfully.
I thought about it yesterday, though, because I was getting bit up. I was doing some gardening and I put out all these Centronella plants thinking like that would help with the mosquitoes. I didn't know there were like 10 of them. I'm like, what?

**Mike McKenna** (3:17)
They lied.

**Moon** (3:18)
Maybe it did something. Maybe it was going to be a hundred of them.

**Scott (King Scott)** (3:20)
Now, here it is. Mosquitoes collected from trap sites in Arnold.

**Rafe Williams** (3:23)
Arnold. Oh, be careful. Arnold and DeSoto have have tested positive for West Nile, according to the Jefferson County Health Department, officials say adult mosquitos carrying the virus were collected from trap sites on July 15th in Arnold, July 22nd in DeSoto. The Jeff Co. Health Department says it has implemented control measures in the affected area of DeSoto, while it does not have jurisdiction to do so in Arnold. So West Nile can be spread to humans through the bite of an infected mosquito, typically after the mosquito feeds on an infected bird.
So what do we have as far as symptoms? Headache, body aches, joint pains, vomiting, diarrhea, or rash? A lot of diarrhea.

**Scott (King Scott)** (4:08)
Yeah, it's a hot thing.

**Rafe Williams** (4:10)
It is diarrhea summer.

**Moon** (4:12)
It's also the one that gives you the babies with the messed up skulls, right?

**Lauren (Lern)** (4:17)
Oh, I think so, yeah.

**Rafe Williams** (4:17)
Some severe illnesses such as encephalitis and meningitis are possible. So what do they say here?

**Moon** (4:25)
Careful.

**Rafe Williams** (4:26)
Well, they're telling you like clogged gutters, pool covers, potted plants, bird baths, tire swings. Those are all like breeding grounds for mosquitoes, you know, when that rainwater gets in there and it's just a gross summer water.

**Moon** (4:48)
Yeah, but I mean, is that I feel like that's got to be negligible. The tire, all the tire swings that I see around these days. You're just not looking.

**Rafe Williams** (4:56)
That's not our miscredo issue.

**Moon** (4:58)
I'm not 100% sure that's really.

**Rafe Williams** (5:00)
Well, clogged gutters, yes. Okay. Pool covers, yes. Bird baths, yes.
Tire swings, yes.

**Lauren (Lern)** (5:09)
They should dump your bird bath like every few days. Give them new water.

**Rafe Williams** (5:14)
The birds deserve it. Oh, is this the camel guy? Let's hear the camel guy. Let's hear the camel guy real quick.

**Moon** (5:18)
Okay. This is what happens if you get West Nile.

**Rafe Williams** (5:29)
That's what I sound like if I've had too much to drink and I'm in bed.

**Moon** (5:32)
I feel like by Thursday.

**Rafe Williams** (5:33)
I start getting the spins.

**Lauren (Lern)** (5:35)
That's what I sound like.

**Rafe Williams** (5:37)
I'm going to bed, honey. That's what I got to put the one foot on the floor.
