It's finally happening. Clark and Lois. Lois and Clark. Clois. No red K. No mind-altering. The real deal. But first they have to audition to be on the Metropolis morning show for some reason.

Title Crossfire aired October 30th, 2009 Director Mike Roll, love him. Writers Holly Henderson and Don Whitehead. Great. Guest star Elise Gatien, as Mia. Clark and Lois accidentally become morning show hosts and Oliver takes a pugilist sex worker under his wing. Good morning Metropolis. Clark helps Lois audition to be an anchor on the local morning show in an effort to get a second date and he's dropping the effing ball. However, the producer is charmed at their witty repartee, repartee, repartee, repartee, repartee, repartee, repartee.
Ryan (2:21)
It's a repartee.
Michael Rosenbaum (2:22)
And offers the job to Lois if Clark accepts to.
And at the DP, Clark tells Chloe that his first report as a reluctant morning show host will be about online dating. He says he's still committed to locating Ken Dorian's and she suggests checking out Tessa's situation since she reinforced her firewalls, not a euphemism. Clark finds Lois filling out her dating profile which includes white lies about loving theater and champagne, not brewskis or monster trucks. He tries to tell her that she's great the way she is, but just stammers and leaves.
Tom Welling (2:54)
I mean, this is cute. It's just cute. It was cute.
SPEAKER_1 (2:57)
I didn't mind it.
Tom Welling (2:58)
It was fun. It was fun to watch.
SPEAKER_1 (2:59)
Yeah.
Tom Welling (3:00)
Michael's probably like, where's this going? What does this mean? I know that's where his mind goes, but like it was fun.
The thing for me is once we get into the fight club, I'm like, what is this?
SPEAKER_1 (3:09)
That to me was jargon.
Michael Rosenbaum (3:10)
Yeah, and we had the fight club episodes ago thing. So it's like two fight club scenes.
Ryan (3:15)
Well, we know that Oliver is hooked up with the fight club scene in the community.
Michael Rosenbaum (3:18)
All right. I'm just going to, I'm going to, you know, I'll chime in. But go ahead, Ryan.
Ryan (3:22)
All right. Here we go. Add another but different bare knuckle fight club style brawl. An acrobatic chick takes hits, somersaults over and beats the crap out of a stunt man twice her size. A douchebag and a fedora, Rick, sullies her victory, saying her face is the moneymaker and she needs to pay him back.
Tom Welling (3:39)
Which is hilarious because as our patron will talk about, well, the pimp is like, your face is a moneymaker. Let me throw you in a cage. That just didn't add up for me.
Ryan (3:52)
No. I'm sorry.
Michael Rosenbaum (3:53)
Oliver then rolls up to the Metropolis red light district and is approached by the fighter chick now in a blonde wig. She compliments his Aston Martin. So he lets her drive as they speed through the copless streets. He offers to train her to fight and overcome her personal demons for the low, low price of time. Time, time, time, see what's become of me.
Tom Welling (4:15)
Please stop. Please stop.
Michael Rosenbaum (4:16)
Please stop. Please, Lord, stop.
Tom Welling (4:18)
