College football is back, so Hilton called on me, the superstition concierge, to make your fan rituals a reality. Need a room to match your lucky number? We got you. Want to make sure our team doesn't wash your lucky jersey? Oh, that smells lucky.

Hilton's unmatched hospitality can keep up with any superstition. Even a marching band wake up call at 555 and 55 seconds. Hit it. When you need a team that will do whatever it takes on game day, it matters where you stay. Hilton, for the stay.

You probably know Hillary Frank as the creator of The Longest Shortest Time, one of the longest running most beloved parenting relationship podcasts of all time. Now, Hillary is bringing the same brilliance and humanity into audio fiction with Wedlocked, an audio-only suspense novel that highlights the consequences of women constantly being told to smile through their emotional and physical pain. It centers around Zara, who is half of a wildly successful fitness influencer power couple, whose perfectly curated life begins to unravel as she struggles with infertility, mysterious health issues, and a marriage built on toxic positivity. On its surface, Wedlocked is a psychological thriller slash juicy influencer story in the same vein as Yesteryear. But in Wedlocked, the twist is rooted in a dangerous reality, the sacrifices women make to their own safety by oppressing their discomfort to benefit others. Go check out Wedlocked on Audible or wherever you get your audiobooks.

Vesperous is implying that Truth Teller is mysterious.

Abby (2:01)

I never caught that before until you just said it.

Ronnie (2:03)

Until and after this point, we are told the Starsword and Truth Teller are fae items. To say you want to play with our weapons, but you have no concept of their true abilities is very interesting. Is this just because Truth Teller is made capital N, or is something else going on with Truth Teller? Is Truth Teller maybe not a fae item after all?

The next question might be more flattering because I look like, go ahead.

Abby (2:42)

You keep wanting to just start in the middle of conversation. It's not just going to add some context.

Ronnie (2:48)

It's called a cold open.

Abby (2:51)

Ronnie, for our listeners, is wearing a shirt that I have never seen before. I've never seen this before that says, Will Yap, About Books. I don't think a cold open works as well in an audio format. I don't know. We'll find out.

Ronnie (3:04)

Listeners, let us know.

Yes, we got some Pasta Pups t-shirts and then I needed another shirt to meet the free shipping minimum. One thing about free shipping minimums is they get me. They totally do.

Abby (3:18)

They're such a scale. I ordered something today that said what I ordered was $7.

It goes, you're $93 away from free shipping. I was like, oh, should I do it? No, I just paid for the shipping.

Ronnie (3:33)

This was a $20 t-shirt, okay? Everyone relax.

But then I saw this one, among others, and I actually was going to buy even more. There's one that I have my eye on that says it's too non-fictiony outside and I think I need that one. I think I'm going to buy that one next.

Abby (3:49)

That one's really good.

Ronnie (3:50)

I was like, no, I'll buy the one that gets me to free shipping and I will make sure that I know my size and then I will come back and I will buy three more. So that's my plan.

Abby (4:01)

That's smart.

Ronnie (4:02)

Yeah.

Abby (4:03)

I don't have any fun new t-shirts. I do have some fun new headphones because I left my headphones in New York for the wedding.

Ronnie (4:10)

I was going to say we've gone over the ears today.

Abby (4:12)

Yeah.

SPEAKER_5 (4:12)

This is exciting.

Abby (4:13)

These are Derrick's, my husband's. Crazy to fucking say that. What was the first time you said it? Because I'm freaking out because I referred to myself as a wife the other day and my whole sense of self just kind of crumbled a little bit. I was like, holy shit, what did I just say?

Not a bad way, just like-

Ronnie (4:30)

I mean, I definitely called him my husband before we were married probably to like make some like salesperson take this more seriously or something. So that was not the first. The first time that I called him my husband was not after we got married. But the first time you say it after you get married does feel like crazy and different. I've still never referred to myself as a wife yet.
