You make her so good.
SPEAKER_2 (0:03)
Da-da-da-da-da.
Craig Carton (0:05)
Yeah, yeah, woo-hoo! Apparently, I'm now the college football expert in America.
Chris McMonigle (0:12)
Are you?
Craig Carton (0:13)
That's right, Billy.
Chris McMonigle (0:14)
Listen, you're just, every other day, you're an expert at something new. It's very fascinating to be around someone like you.
Craig Carton (0:19)
Well, they're voting for that Protect College Sports Act, and I did a little appearance today, and Senator Cruz loved what I had to say. Really? Ted Cruz is a big fan of the kids.
Chris McMonigle (0:32)
That's exciting. That's really good.
I'm happy for you.
Craig Carton (0:36)
That's too funny. That's right. That's what we have going on around here.
Chris McMonigle (0:41)
Yep.
Craig Carton (0:42)
888-8-0-8.
Chris McMonigle (0:43)
Cory Booker, though, not so much.
Craig Carton (0:45)
Cory Booker can reach out to me any day he wants. He knows that. Happy to have him on. He ain't got nothing else to do but complain about things. You know, Rutgers is half a billion dollars in debt.
He's from Jersey, isn't he? Yeah, that's right.
Chris McMonigle (0:57)
Well, I'm sure passing that bill is going to solve all their problems.
Craig Carton (1:00)
Solve all the problems we have in the world.
Chris McMonigle (1:02)
Rutgers is going to go right to the top. Save all that money.
Craig Carton (1:07)
Yeah. By the way, one quick thing on the storm from this weekend, people did die. I told you that was going to happen. I just want to make that clear.
That's not the thing I want to mention.
Chris McMonigle (1:15)
Congratulations on the prediction, Craig.
Craig Carton (1:17)
I mean, I'm like seven consecutive right predictions here. I feel pretty good about that. I'm not about the fact that I was right because people did lose their lives. It seemed like there was such a divide between living on the shore from Boston all the way down to Cape May, let's say, and being even 20 miles inland, because we got rain, we got some wind, but not nearly as bad as the unfortunate stuff we all witnessed along the Atlantic Ocean.
Chris McMonigle (1:50)
No, I mean, where I was, it was a rainy weekend. It felt no different than the last three weekends, quite honestly.
Craig Carton (1:56)
Yeah, I'm with you on that.
Chris McMonigle (1:57)
It's been a rainy couple of weekends.
Craig Carton (1:58)
And I did experience something, just to real quick, we'll get all your calls. I got to get your quick take on.
Chris McMonigle (2:03)
Sure.
Craig Carton (2:04)
I went to a brand new restaurant in Long Valley, New Jersey, called The Fig.
Chris McMonigle (2:08)
I think I saw.
Craig Carton (2:08)
Okay.
Chris McMonigle (2:09)
Are you going to ask me something?
Craig Carton (2:10)
Nice, small little Italian place, like three or four pizzas, three, four bosses. The Fig.
Chris McMonigle (2:14)
I got to tell you something about a fig later.
Craig Carton (2:16)
Okay.
Chris McMonigle (2:16)
I got a fig story.
Craig Carton (2:17)
They have a espresso martini.
Chris McMonigle (2:20)
I saw your video.
Craig Carton (2:21)
Okay. They top it off with Parmigiano Reggiano.
Chris McMonigle (2:26)
I'm dying to try it because it sounds like such a weird combination. It's so delicious. It's good with it?
Listen, Parmesan cheese is delicious. It's the king of cheese.
Craig Carton (2:35)
But I never thought to do one.
Chris McMonigle (2:36)
No, I would have never thought of that coffee.
Craig Carton (2:40)
Vinny's the bartender.
Chris McMonigle (2:41)
He goes, I got a thing, I got a thing.
Craig Carton (2:43)
No one else does it.
Chris McMonigle (2:43)
I shaved it right on top.
Craig Carton (2:45)
Shaved it, I saw, right on top.
Chris McMonigle (2:47)
It looked delicious. Money.
Craig Carton (2:49)
So, next time you make one at home, I'd love to get your take on it.
Chris McMonigle (2:52)
I don't really make espresso martinis.
Craig Carton (2:54)
Well, you're going to make one now. I make dirty martinis.
Chris McMonigle (2:55)
I don't know if that would go with Parmesan cheese.
Craig Carton (2:58)
Parmesan or Reggiano, boop, right on top. Anyhow, I drank three of them.
Chris McMonigle (3:03)
How'd you feel? You know what they say about martinis?
You know what they say, you know what the old cliché about martinis is?
Craig Carton (3:09)
No.
Chris McMonigle (3:10)
Three's too many and one's not enough.
Craig Carton (3:12)
I'm not even a martini guy. Two martinis. It's more about the cheese.
Chris McMonigle (3:15)
That's where you want to live.
