Craig Slams NIL Loophole as QB LaNorris Sellers Skips Class

South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers admitted earlier today that he has zero classes to attend this year.
Zero classes to attend this year, but instead will be an intern at a local golf course. So he's not even enrolled in the school academically.

Excuse me? Yeah, not enrolled, not taking a class, no liberal arts education, doesn't have to take even rocks for jocks. He's there, he's just a hired gun.

So he turned down 4 million dollars, because I guess the other school maybe wanted him to actually go to school. Probably not, but I guess I was on the other table. Look, you gotta take one philosophy class so we can pay the 8 million. He's like, man, I'm not taking no classes.
I'll take 4 million and not go to class.

They're like, what's your toughest class? He goes, sweetheart, class. I don't go to any classes.
He goes, I graduated two years ago. I never got to class in two years.

I don't know. It was a USC quarterback. It was a liner or Palmer where they said, oh, I'm taking ballroom dancing as like their red shirt senior class.

Yeah.
The reason I get frustrated about it, for a lot of reasons, one of them is, like my son goes to Villanova and he has three years of eligibility left to play football. And they're in the Patriot League. And the Patriot League doesn't let grad students play football. And I'm saying to myself, you're paying a kid $4 million and the kid admitted he's not even enrolled in the college and he gets to play. Oh, and there's another story earlier today.
16 NFL football players got a restraining order from a judge that allows them to return to college football and play college football this season. 16 of them that are on NFL rosters are going to be able to leave the NFL as paid NFL football players and return for another year of college football. And that it drives me bonkers that that's allowed. And I got a kid with three years of eligibility left who wants to play a much lower level football. And the Patriot League says, yeah, no, sorry. Grad students can't play.
But if you're a really good quarterback, we'll pay you four million bucks. You don't have to go to classes. You're not enrolled in the school and you can be our starting quarterback. It drives me bonkers. It really does.

That's exactly right. I came here to play football. I didn't do school, let alone play school. But how do you let a guy in the NFL go back and play college football?
And a judge said, yes.
Like the NCAA has no power anymore because all these kids have to do is go to a school friendly judge, right? And the judge is going to put a restraining order against the NCAA from preventing you from playing. And that's what's happened time and time and time again. But if you're a kid that's never going to go pro, that's not going to get paid to play, and you do everything the right way, that kid's not allowed to play. He's 20 years old. But a 25-year-old who's in the NFL is allowed to leave the NFL and go back to college and play college football. Like make that make sense.

It's the same to a college basketball, too. It's ridiculous.

Yeah, you have guys in the G League who have now been paid to be professional basketball players who are now allowed to go back to college because they have eligibility left, because maybe they left college after their freshman year and go play college ball.
