Chris McMonigle (0:00)

Nah, it wasn't for me.

Craig Carton (0:01)

I gotta be honest, I didn't buy Seth Rogen as the head of a studio.

SPEAKER_3 (0:04)

Really? I liked it, I think the studio is a good show.

Craig Carton (0:06)

And while I was away, I caught up on a bunch of movies that I've seen a million times, and I saw some new stuff as well.

SPEAKER_3 (0:13)

Okay.

Craig Carton (0:14)

Mrs. Doubtfire, which is one of the classic movies in my wheelhouse, if you watch it in the wrong frame of mind, it's a sick, disturbing, dark movie.

SPEAKER_3 (0:28)

Yeah. I mean, yes, it could be, yes.

Craig Carton (0:31)

The actual storyline is about a woman who won't give her husband any custody of his own children.

SPEAKER_3 (0:39)

Right, because he likes to have fun too much.

Craig Carton (0:40)

Because he has too much fun.

He had a petting zoo in his living room, and she goes, I won't let you see your own children. Like, think about that.

SPEAKER_3 (0:51)

That's the first part you went to that's disturbing, not the pretending to be someone else to get close to your kids and spy on your wife.

Craig Carton (1:02)

Like, I understood that part.

Yeah, it's like I go back to some movies you watch, and like you've seen, we've all seen them all a thousand times. And I'm like, if you watch that movie with a different kind of frame of mind, that movie, like, something about Mary, that's a dark, dirty movie.

SPEAKER_3 (1:20)

Yeah, we just, that was part of the wheel yesterday. Oh, was it? Friday, yeah.

Craig Carton (1:24)

And it's funny as all get-outs, but if you watch it again, and really get into what's happening here, like, it's stalking.

SPEAKER_3 (1:32)

100%, yeah. They're all stalking her, they're lying to her, they're pretending to be people they're not.

Craig Carton (1:37)

Yeah, it's like pathetic people chasing after other people.

SPEAKER_3 (1:41)

Yeah.

Craig Carton (1:42)

Yeah, right?

SPEAKER_3 (1:43)

Come across as serious.

Craig Carton (1:45)

Whatever happened to Chris Elliott? By the way, he was awesome for a minute, Chris Elliott.

SPEAKER_3 (1:50)

He had a couple things, right?

Craig Carton (1:52)

He was on, where's Bob or where Bob, what about Bob?

Chris McMonigle (1:55)

What about Bob?

SPEAKER_3 (1:56)

He's also in the movie, right?

Chris McMonigle (1:57)

He did a bunch of those scary movies, like the comedy versions of Scream.

SPEAKER_3 (2:01)

Oh, did he? He did the scary movies. He had the one, what was like the one?

Craig Carton (2:04)

Because he was a lettering guy.

SPEAKER_3 (2:06)

The one big movie that he was, I don't even know if you'd call it big, but the one movie where he was the lead character was that sailor movie, right? He's like a...

Craig Carton (2:13)

That's What About Bob, isn't it?

SPEAKER_3 (2:14)

No, no, no, no, no. What About Bob is with Bill Murray.

Craig Carton (2:17)

But he's on a boat.

SPEAKER_3 (2:18)

Yeah, well, I mean, he's on a boat for a scene.

No, there's like a movie where Chris Elliott plays like a privileged person. Cabin Boy? Cabin Boy.

Craig Carton (2:26)

Yes, with Kurt Russell, right? I looked that up, I didn't know what that was.

SPEAKER_3 (2:29)

I don't think Kurt Russell's in it, no.

Craig Carton (2:30)

That senior wheelhouse cabin boy, you're like, honey, if you really want to get to know me, you better memorize Cabin Boy.

SPEAKER_3 (2:37)

No, I just Googled Chris Elliott. Sure you did. But that's the only one I could think of where he was the lead. And then he was in Everybody Loves Raymond a lot. He played Robert, the brother's wife's brother.

Craig Carton (2:48)

He's probably got money, I guess, right?

SPEAKER_3 (2:50)

I think.

Craig Carton (2:50)

And then I saw a thing yesterday, which I didn't know existed, because God knows that we, it's like, the two sports related, but maybe not sports topics, that have been overdone, in my opinion, from a documentary standpoint, are A, everything and anything about the 1986 Mets.

SPEAKER_3 (3:12)

Right.

Craig Carton (3:12)

Like, we know the story.

SPEAKER_3 (3:14)

We know more.

Craig Carton (3:15)

Can you please stop making documentaries about it? And anything that's OJ related. But there's a new OJ one. So I didn't realize this.

Right after, I guess, the trial of the century, there was an independent production team that thought it would be fun, wink-wink, to do a reality show that was patterned after punked. Ashley Kutcher's punked, like Candid Camera.

SPEAKER_3 (3:44)

Right.

Craig Carton (3:45)

Right?
