I always say nothing quite gets a week started like a little creed on a Monday. 888-808, 1019, Carton Show with Big Mac, Zach Gale, the Anthony Gallo, Connor Von Connor, all hanging out today. Yankees are off today. I thought it was really cute, just a quick aside over the weekend, when some Met fans said, you know, if the Mets win the American League, they'll only be five games out of a wild card spot. That was so cute. That was so cute, our Met fans trying to make themselves relevant. Oh, it's like when you put lipstick on a pig. Oh, still pig.
Is that a pig? No, oink oink, right? Gallo, what's your best pig sound?
See, that's what I did. I guess that's a pig, right? Yeah. You do a pig sound?
Yeah, we all did the same thing.

Yeah, I figured you were an oinker. Oink oink.

There's got to be one oinker in the group.
It sucks to go last, Connor. I'll just say that.

No, I'm just kidding. You're making those noises now.

That's a good guy, though.

Yeah.

What happened?

That's a good guy. If I had something in my nose, that would have been a good guy. Saying it when I don't have something, it makes him a bad guy. It's like you got something in your teeth and you don't?
Yeah, then I'm the bad guy.

But after making those noises, it is conducive.

Your pig sound was more on than my pig sound.

**Zach Gale** (1:34)
Well, I was probably more of a pig once in my life than you.

**Craig Carton** (1:37)
Well, certainly with the... Never mind.
Quick jet thought, and then we'll take some jet calls here in addition to giant fans, of course, making excuses for John Harbaugh putting Jackson Dard back out there in harm's way in a preseason game. When you watch the Jets in the first quarter only, because who cares after that, obviously, right? And it's very clear, by the way, that Clubnik is the only back of quarterback we got, to be fair.
Didn't you get a little sense of, oh, by the way, it could be a pretty decent offense. Did you get that sense at all? I know you're in Canada at all, but if you watch this, they look like 12-place, 60-some-odd-yard drive. They get the three points, obviously, wanted the touchdown there, but the offense looked like it was unique compared to the last couple of years. Obviously, having Brice Hall in the field is great, throwing the ball in the seam great, not just dump off, dump off, dump off. And I know it's one drive, but I was highly encouraged by that opening drive by the New York Jets.

And this is why the Jets are going to be an attractive destination if Aaron Cohen is let go. So you got three more first round picks next year. They got young talent. We know Garrett Wilson is established, Brice Hall is already established, and Kenyon Siddique is still hurt right now, but you got Omar Cooper Jr. There are young players on this team where there's actually an excitement. And that's why Leon Rose, the best executive in this town.

Darren Moujee has done a really good job in at least giving the Jets fan some optimism. Yes.

**Craig Carton** (3:09)
Now look, I think they've got plenty of offensive weapons. Obviously we need a quarterback. I think Geno Smith will be better than Justin Fields was, for sure. Cause he'll throw the ball down the field. We need a quarterback who doesn't, right? And then you got to rebuild that defense. But I'm with you.
I think the New York Jets are on their way to being a competent football team. I really do.

And the other thing?

And I'm not an Aaron Glenn guy. I like, we sat down with him last Tuesday.

It was a good interview.

And I think he takes ownership of what he did wrong, and I like that. And I give him, you know, the grace of having a better year too.
But there's talent on this roster.

Since Aaron Glenn got the job, that was the best he projected himself since the introductory press conference.
