Craig Carton (0:01)

It's just a beautiful day!

Brendan (0:03)

Hey, hey, hey, hey!

Chris McMonigle (0:06)

It's in the 80s today.

Craig Carton (0:07)

Yeah, told you, gorgeous day. A lot of injuries in the NFL this week. Saw Trey Henderson's out against the Titans. I think he broke his finger.

He was a baseball player.

Graham's out, Cleveland, that's a big deal. One of the best defensive players out for a couple weeks. So that might be beneficial to you guys. And baseball-wise...

Chris McMonigle (0:27)

Aaron Donald is out.

Craig Carton (0:28)

Pardon me, Aaron Donald is out as well. I apologize on that one.

Chris McMonigle (0:31)

And Justin Jefferson with Minnesota.

Craig Carton (0:32)

Yeah, I just heard that one.

Chris McMonigle (0:33)

I didn't know that he was banged up. He left the game last week.

Craig Carton (0:36)

Yeah, but they didn't... Did they say that he wasn't coming back? Maybe I missed it.

Chris McMonigle (0:39)

I don't think they ruled him out. I don't think he came back into the game last week. And now he's being... I don't think he was ruled out until just today.

Craig Carton (0:45)

Yeah, I did... Pete told me that about 20 minutes ago. And I didn't realize that. That was even a question mark. And then of course, baseball playoffs continue.

The Yankees, tomorrow night at 6.30, we'll get more into the Yankees.

Chris McMonigle (0:57)

And then 8 o'clock every game after that. So it will be 6.30.

Craig Carton (1:01)

For the Yankees, it's 8 o'clock every game after that?

Brendan (1:03)

Yes.

Craig Carton (1:03)

And for the Yankees, it's Saturday, off on Sunday.

Brendan (1:06)

Correct.

Craig Carton (1:07)

Monday, off on Tuesday. Wednesday, and then if you need a game for Thursday, if you need a game for Saturday.

Brendan (1:14)

Correct.

Craig Carton (1:15)

So that's the Yankee schedule. You're guaranteed one home game on Wednesday.

A sweep ends it there. If not, you get a second home game on Thursday at Yankee Stadium or the pitching staff. And of course, Aaron Judge and John Carlos Stanton. Yeah. Is they're going to carry more pitchers for this round. So that's for sure. Well, yeah, I think... By the way, did you happen to see...

Chris McMonigle (1:33)

We got to get into that because I think I've changed my tune slightly on that after thinking about it last night.

Craig Carton (1:36)

We'll get to that coming up closer to five. But just real quick. If you're listening to our show yesterday, you know, I don't know what time it was, right around now though, Aaron Boone tried to call in as he was getting ready aboard the plane to take off for Tampa with the Yankees.

Well, it turns out, you know, we had a bad connection, so we couldn't have him on the show because he had no service where he was sitting, wherever they were, I guess at Westchester County Airport.

Chris McMonigle (2:01)

Yes.

Craig Carton (2:01)

But then I checked out Dave Sims' tweet about the problems they had. So they get to the Westchester County Airport to fly down to Tampa. It's obviously a chartered flight, whatever, right?

There was a problem with the plane.

Calvin (2:15)

Yep.

Craig Carton (2:16)

So they had to put the Yankees on a bus. They bussed them from Westchester County Airport to LaGuardia.

Chris McMonigle (2:22)

Well, I'm assuming it was a bus, but yeah, he says they got on the plane at Westchester at 3.30, left the plane at 6.50. So they sat for three hours on the plane, arrived at LaGuardia at 7.50, so I'm assuming that means they bussed it.

Calvin (2:36)

Yeah.

Craig Carton (2:36)

They probably had to get the busses there, what have you. So they bussed to LaGuardia.

They then take off from LaGuardia and they fly directly down to Tampa. They didn't get into their hotel rooms till almost 1 o'clock in the morning.

Chris McMonigle (2:49)

Until 12.40, yeah.

Craig Carton (2:51)

Yeah. So a very, very long day for the New York Yankees. Again, it's first class travel.

Calvin (2:57)

No doubt.

Craig Carton (2:58)

You're not putting anybody out.

Chris McMonigle (2:59)

If the game was today, I suppose you could argue they'd be impacted by it, but the game's tomorrow and it's at 6.30. There's no excuse.

Calvin (3:07)

And again, it's private travel.

Chris McMonigle (3:08)

We're not going to be like the Boston Red Sox who cried and complained about having to go to Tampa to play the Cubs. Nope, we're men.

Craig Carton (3:16)

That's right.

Chris McMonigle (3:16)

That's right. They're men and they'll be ready to go 6.30.
