Comedy Controversies, Fundraisers & A National Anthem Challenge

SPEAKER_1 (0:00)

The choice of a lawyer is an important decision and should not be based solely on advertisements.

SPEAKER_2 (1:06)

The Cooper tires guarantee the lowest tire prices in town and have a drive away tire package that includes free balancing, rotation and flat repair on their tires. It's incredible. And here's one more reason you don't want anybody but Dobbs handling your vehicle. Right now, when you buy any three Cooper tires at Dobbs, you get one free. You drive out with a whole set of brand new Cooper tires, but you only pay for three. At your next stop, take a look. Take a look at the tires. Looking a little worn? Tread looking a little on the thin side? Listen, it happens, but it doesn't have to stay that way. Head to Dobbs, buy any three Cooper tires and get one free. Don't let this offer pass you by. Stop in and get safer, newer, better tires for less while supplies last. Visit gotodobbs.com. That's gotodobbs.com. Find a location near you or see an associate for details. gotodobbs.com.

Alright, so I saw a video yesterday of a comedian, Liz Mealy. And I don't know, are you familiar with Liz?

Rafe Williams (4:49)

I am.

SPEAKER_2 (4:49)

Liz Mealy?

So she's not famous famous. I mean, she's got a good following. She's a touring comic.

Rafe Williams (4:58)

For sure.

SPEAKER_2 (5:00)

So, Sebastian Maniscalco, right? I mean, that's a top tier comic. That guy's selling out arenas.

So he's usually, what? He's usually known for poking fun at everyday annoyances, but he's currently caught in the middle of a, we'll call it industry controversy involving his new SiriusXM channel. So earlier this year, Sirius Satellite replaced its long running Raw Comedy, which I think they used to call Raw Dog.

Rafe Williams (5:28)

Raw Dog, yeah.

SPEAKER_2 (5:30)

They, so they changed that Raw Dog channel to Sebastian Maniscalco's Comedy Radio. So it's a 24-7 dedicated station to Sebastian Maniscalco.

So now, while star branded channels aren't new, like you know, a few, Metallica's got their own channel, or Billy Joel's got his own channel, The Beatles have their own channel.
