Hi, it's Phoebe. In just a few weeks, I'm going to be heading back out on the road with a brand new live show. But this tour is very different from the ones we've done before. Because this time, I'm telling a story I've never told before. My own. You'll get to hear about my wild family and the secrets I kept for them. It's a show about not giving up on people. Get your tickets now at thisiscriminal.com/live.

I hope to see you.

So here we are. So this set right now, this is getting things all set up. And there's some, well, this seems like someone's going to win maybe a furniture set. I think someone else is maybe going to, someone's going to win a pizza oven today, and someone's going to win a new washer and dryer. So here it is, the set of The Price Is Right.

Before the sun was up, people started lining up outside the Price Is Right studio in Glendale, right outside Los Angeles. The line starts in the parking lot and winds its way inside to a white building. On the door is a sign that reads Contest and Holding Area. It's crowded, but everyone is in good spirits. The people in line are hoping that maybe they'll get picked to win something today. Maybe a hot tub, or a vacation, or even $50,000.

Oh, wow.

Okay. So now we're in the contestant holding area. People are very excited. There are probably a hundred people in here.

The Price Is Right films three shows a day. We're here to watch them tape the first one. There's a long table in the front of the room where producers take people's names and then give them a numbered sticker and a handwritten name tag. Crew members ask people to flip their shirts inside out if they're wearing a big logo. But most people come in with specially made shirts about The Price Is Right. We pass a whole family with shirts that say, Pick me, I'm ready to come on down. There's another person with a shirt that says, Girls just want to play plinko. We meet two women who spent the night gluing rhinestone letters onto their shirts. Hello. Can I ask you a question about your shirt? That's a wonderful shirt. What does it say?

SPEAKER_2 (3:58)

Hot flashes and showcases.

Phoebe Judge (4:00)

What does yours say? Drew.

SPEAKER_3 (4:02)

I cleared space in my garage.

Phoebe Judge (4:05)

Ready for that car.

SPEAKER_3 (4:06)

Oh, actually, a boat. A boat.

Phoebe Judge (4:10)

We talked to a man wearing an I'm with Drew shirt.

Drew Carey is the host of the show. What's your name?

SPEAKER_4 (4:16)

James.

Phoebe Judge (4:17)

James, you're number one. What does that mean?

SPEAKER_4 (4:19)

I was the first one in line today and got up super early to be here.

Phoebe Judge (4:25)

What time did you get here?

SPEAKER_4 (4:26)

Five.

Phoebe Judge (4:27)

First time ever?

SPEAKER_4 (4:28)

First time ever.

Phoebe Judge (4:29)

What is it? What you thought it would be like?

SPEAKER_4 (4:32)

It's more than I thought and it's awesome. A lot of energy.

A lot of energy.

Phoebe Judge (4:38)

Only nine people here will be picked to be contestants. But to get picked, all these people will have to impress one person, Hannah Halob. She's the contestant producer at The Price Is Right. Hi Hannah, how are you? Nice to meet you.

Just tell me, what is going on right now?

Hannah Halab (4:57)

We are interviewing every single person that got tickets to come to the show.
