It's not really...
Hello, ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to your first episode of The Gimmick this weekend. I am, as usual, the Canadian Nightmare, and I'm joined by... Is he nameless?

**SPEAKER_2** (0:13)
No nickname, I hadn't thought of... I was trying to think of one, but I don't know. I just want the classic no nickname.

**SPEAKER_1** (0:20)
No full background, I thought it was gonna happen, but yeah, here we are to catch up on some stuff, because it's been a little bit, but we said we're gonna do this because we knew we had a two-parter coming up.
So yeah, we got to date, and then tomorrow we should be joined by Dave for SummerSlam Night 2 I think that will just be that, this show cover. We're gonna do SummerSlam Night 1 first, and then we're gonna talk about some other just general WWE and AEW news, stuff that's happened throughout, maybe free agency, stuff on Raw, stuff on leading up to All In. And then the next one, I'm not sure when, because I know All In is the 20th.

**SPEAKER_2** (0:54)
All In is like 29th, I think.

**SPEAKER_1** (0:56)
Yeah, okay. So we'll, and that one, I think, we'll probably go live after, because that starts at like 10 a.m., my time. So that's an early enough show. So we'll probably maybe do one more. We might do one, maybe the 22nd, 23rd, somewhere in there, because we don't have the full card yet there. So we'll wait till then. What's the next Fed pay-per-view?

**SPEAKER_2** (1:12)
September, there's, well, the interesting is, the next main roster, main roster one, would be Money in the Bank in October.
But the thing is that the AAA Worlds Collide, usually they just advertise it like NXT AAA Worlds Collide. This one is like WWE AAA Worlds Collide. And it's booked in Allstate Arena. So I think that's going to be like a pseudo main roster. Like I think Punk's going to be on that show and stuff.

**SPEAKER_1** (1:40)
Is that the one that they have the same day as All In? All Out, yeah. All In, they don't have anything. All Out.

**SPEAKER_2** (1:48)
All In, they have an NXT one. But All Out is like that one. Because All Out, they're in the same city too. Like they're in Chicago too.

**SPEAKER_1** (1:57)
Oh my god, the bastard.

**SPEAKER_2** (1:58)
But they're both selling well. So you know, the AAA, they have fans, the AWS fans. Like I think right now, they're both at like 7,000 tickets with no matches announced. So you know, Chicago, like people, people joke about going to Chicago like all the time. But I mean, people will show up to the shows.

**SPEAKER_1** (2:16)
Yeah, it's definitely like, I know people are always like, oh, New York, but like Chicago is still to me, the wrestling city in North America. You know, like I think for a while, and especially AEW ran at dry for a bit. But I think now it's like, okay, we've had some breaks. But tonight, we're gonna start off with SummerSlam Night 1 As above, what did you think of the show? Six matches, that's all I got.

**SPEAKER_2** (2:40)
No, yeah, overall, I thought it was a good show. I thought it was definitely just comparing to like the last big show being WrestleMania. I mean, I definitely thought it was better than that. Even like not just in the matches, but just the pacing overall. Like I thought all the matches got like a good amount of time. Like there was no match where like, I thought like this is way too short or like time got cut or something for this one. I thought all of them had a good amount of time.
It all flowed pretty well. Like there were still ads and stuff, but it didn't feel like WrestleMania. There was just like, you didn't get like the Hogan Netflix ad like seven times in a row.

**SPEAKER_1** (3:16)
I forgot about that.

**SPEAKER_2** (3:16)
I thought it was over.

**SPEAKER_1** (3:17)
I just followed the WrestleMania night one quite a look at it.

**SPEAKER_2** (3:21)
But yeah, I thought this show, it was a fun time. I liked it starting early and ending like, I think it was pretty much like three hours on the dot, I'd say.
If you don't count like Brock's promo, probably I'd say the bell for the cell match ended like pretty much three hours in. So I mean, it does show they can do, you know, six match cards in three hours with still, you know, putting their ads in there. So yeah, overall, I don't know what like a star rating if I had to give to the show, maybe for the whole show, I'd give it like a 3.5 or 3.75. I thought it was a good enough time.
