Claude Motion: Build Stunning Animations in SECONDS!

So Claude Motion is a new AI animation tool inside Claude that turns your reports, your charts, your pictures into videos. You can type one message and Claude basically builds a short animated video from your own stuff. That could be your numbers, could be your charts, could be your words. And you can change anything that's inside it as well. So you can edit this really easily. Now, what is this update? Why should you guess? Anthropic actually launched Claude Motion on October the 8th.

It's in beta and it basically makes short animations. So think of like a 30-second explainer of a sales report, that sort of thing. You could also use this for editing longer form videos as well for you and create amazing animations. You can also share these as artifacts too.

And if you think about this, could be like an explainer video, could be an animation of a sales report. Really easy to use and there's loads of great examples of how you can build with it. So you can see some examples right here. So, for example, it can use dashboards. You can actually connect like a data platform or CRM tool and then ask a question in plain English and then Claude actually writes a query as you can see. Now with Motion, you can do reports, charts, product walkthroughs and short animations. And it's written as code. So you don't need to use like a video model for this, but it creates like amazing videos as you can see. And it works with loads of different tools, which is great as well. So you can see an example right here of how it works step by step. Super easy to build with. And I test it out. It was amazingly fast as well. So if you're wondering like how to use Claude for video, or how to use AI for video editing, this is one of the best systems you can use. Now to get started, all you want to do is just go into Claude, like you see right here. Then you're going to go to artifacts, and from here go to Motion, and then inside Motion, you can just explain exactly what you want. Now once you've done that, you can actually share it with people. So if we say, for example, a 20-second teaser for a new mobile app, you can see an example right here, it will just start building it. Now why does this matter to you? Because almost every business has stuff it wants to explain, and explaining is hard.

People don't read long reports, they skim, they scroll. And a video that moves is going to get more attention than just like your normal boring report.

Making those videos has always been a pain. Like you needed an editor, or a designer, or an animator, or you have to learn some crazy tool with 100 buttons and spend your whole Saturday on it. Now with Claude Motion, it just takes that job, it asks you a few questions, and then you go from here. So for example, we can type that like so, and then we can select which colors we want, or we can select other. From here, we can click Continue, and then it just goes off and takes that job and hands it over to Claude.

The other cool thing about this is it's much easier to update a video. So if you're editing something, or if you, for example, have an iteration, normally you'd have a video editor, you have to explain to them, they come back with the edits, you go back and forth for ages. With this whole system, it's way easier because what you're essentially doing is just getting this all set up quickly using Claude to automate it. And then if you have any changes, you give it feedback. And you can also work at two different animations at the same time. So for example, we've got an animation over here. And then if we go to our other animations, like this one, and we can say, okay, my brand colors are these.

Can you change and improve this?

And can you make it more entertaining, more visual, more interesting, more engaging, etc.

All right, and then it basically lines up the changes that you've got, and it will just start making them in the background. And then you've got two different motion designs being used at the same time in parallel, which is super nice. Now, this also came out with a new update called dashboards. So inside Claude now, you've got docs, slides, design, and dashboards. You can create like interactive dashboards that's super nice as well. And you can see everything that you've previously created. So you can view all your previous animations and that sort of thing. It's also really good for slide decks as well, which is pretty amazing. So if we go back to this example that we're editing, you can see the edits in real time right here. And you can actually edit and change everything.
