Let’s get real: ever wonder why you sometimes second-guess yourself even when you KNOW something’s not right? Or why people, yes, even “friends,” partners, or bosses, can keep you stuck, controlled, or exploited for YEARS?

Welcome back to Women of Impact. In part one, we blew up the freaking illusion that safety is just about common sense. We pulled the rug out from every lie that you've ever been told about who gets targeted and how easy it is for predators to spot vulnerability in a literal split second. But now this is the part where the psychology gets deep, because we're not just talking about being a target. We're talking about the mental chess game that happens when somebody is already inside your life. Where trust, shame and guilt get fricking hijacked and used against us.

And you start to question if this is even your reality anymore. Well, we're going to solve that right here, right now, in part two. So buckle up, because we go over how manipulators hack your mind with their right blueprint, reward, ideology, coercion, ego, so that you can stop blaming yourself and finally spot who's messing with your head. You don't want to miss it. This rice system could potentially save your life. Then we go over the disposal phase, how to know when you're actually being bench ghosted or made the backup plan for everyone who wants to keep you as an option and not a priority. I think we all feel that, right? We've had a moment where we just feel like we're the extra, we're the spare, we're on the sidelines. But no more. This gives you the rundown of how they park you. Then we go into the unbreakable step-by-step method to uncover lies, test for real trust and break the cycle even after you've already been played. It's never too late, my homie. So if you're ready to stop giving away your power, this is your wake up call. Let's rip the freaking mask off right now, right here on Women of Impact.

So with the ego one, the one that I had written down was actually Harvey Weinstein. So unfortunately, we all know, but he was a convicted sex offender serving 16 years, used his power over Hollywood to abuse women for decades, and stars like Ashley Judd, Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie and Salma Hayek came forward many after staying silent for years because speaking out risked the careers, their reputation that he just basically lured over them to black mark them.

So it obviously works in careers, it works in personal, but it becomes this very powerful tool, especially when you're someone like Harvey Weinstein and you're dealing with the highest elite of elite.

Andrew Bustamante (2:51)

It's very hard to put words around what you're feeling, especially if you're feeling strong feelings. When you have something like rice, it helps you structure it all.

Lisa Bilyeu (3:00)

I love that. With ideology, actually I've got a follow up question with that.

Can it also be like ideology on how you see the world? What I mean by that is, there's a case called Corey Richards and she was a mother, and her husband dies and so she writes a children's book about how children can grieve their father's dying. Seems lovely, right? Turns out, she was the one that poisoned her husband with lethal dose of fentanyl, then wrote a book to promote the death of her husband as a children's book.

For the longest time, everybody was donating money to her because everyone thought this poor mother is really struggling. Does that ideology work there? They're mothers, they're nurturers, they're carers. So because so many of us, most of us have the idea of what a mother is, when we see a mother on TV crying about her dead husband, you just don't ever think she was the one that killed him.

Andrew Bustamante (3:56)

What I would say this case really demonstrates is the woman, the actual killer, her ability to understand how her actions would be interpreted if she also does something else.

Lisa Bilyeu (4:09)

Right.

Andrew Bustamante (4:10)

So by writing the children's book and making the children's book about life grieving, she is intentionally redirecting suspicion away from her.

So she's manipulating the perceptions of a larger group. I would argue that because she's doing it through a book, and she's doing it through a publisher, and she's doing it through a story, she's also leveraging persuasion. Because as you read the book, as you have your emotional connection with the name of the person who wrote the book, that emotion turns into long-term influence, which is kind of like an insurance policy, so that if somebody ever suspects her in the future, emotionally they'll be like, that's ridiculous.
