Gorgeous Friday in New York City.
Craig Carton (0:09)
You wonder why I'm deaf?
Kevin (0:11)
Huh?
Craig Carton (0:11)
Yeah, yeah. You wonder why I'm deaf. Huh? I nearly jumped out of the seat.
Chris McMonigle (0:15)
Huh?
Craig Carton (0:16)
You gotta lower that thing.
Chris McMonigle (0:17)
Huh?
Craig Carton (0:19)
And then when I take, for the last stop of The Carton Show, I sit in your seat in case they did care enough to put a video of just me out.
Chris McMonigle (0:26)
It's enough for you, by the way.
Craig Carton (0:27)
Yeah, I know.
Chris McMonigle (0:27)
It's been a lot of you lately.
Craig Carton (0:28)
A lot of me lately.
Chris McMonigle (0:29)
A lot of you lately.
Craig Carton (0:30)
A lot of me.
Chris McMonigle (0:31)
Just saying. Go ahead.
Craig Carton (0:32)
No, I got you. And every time I plug in my headphones, it's like, boom!
Chris McMonigle (0:37)
That's exactly right.
Craig Carton (0:38)
That's right.
Chris McMonigle (0:39)
That's how you do it.
Craig Carton (0:40)
I think Summers is doing the podcast in the other studio. Huh? Huh?
Chris McMonigle (0:44)
He's still here?
Craig Carton (0:45)
Still here.
Chris McMonigle (0:45)
God bless him.
Craig Carton (0:46)
God bless him.
Kevin (0:48)
Right? Can't get rid of him.
Chris Kirschner (0:51)
That's it.
Craig Carton (0:53)
Can't get rid of him.
Kevin (0:54)
No, that's my dog right there, Stevie Summers.
Craig Carton (0:57)
No, I know. That guy's going nowhere.
Chris McMonigle (1:00)
Well, that's not nice of you.
Craig Carton (1:01)
Why not?
Chris McMonigle (1:02)
That guy's going nowhere?
Craig Carton (1:03)
He's going nowhere.
Chris McMonigle (1:05)
Not the way you said it. He's sticking around forever. Oh, he is. Once a week comes in, I think he does a podcast.
Craig Carton (1:09)
He's gonna outlive us all. I'm convinced.
Chris McMonigle (1:10)
The Schmooze Podcast, right? Yeah, 888-808-119.
There you go. Whatever makes you happy. Now that the Yankees are done, you do what you gotta do. You make sure you got your house in order. That's exactly right.
Craig Carton (1:24)
My house is in order.
Chris McMonigle (1:26)
Is it?
Craig Carton (1:26)
Yeah.
Chris McMonigle (1:27)
You wear track shoes in that house or no?
Craig Carton (1:29)
I'm not allowed to wear shoes in the house, you know that.
Chris McMonigle (1:30)
See, some guys...
Craig Carton (1:34)
The second, if I have to run to the bathroom from coming in that... Like, if I'm coming from...
Chris McMonigle (1:38)
You better take them off?
Craig Carton (1:39)
I can't. If I'm like, I gotta go... Like, just run in. No, no, no, no. Shoes.
Kevin (1:42)
Shoes.
Chris McMonigle (1:43)
Is that a mom thing or a wife thing?
Kevin (1:44)
No, it's a wife thing. That's a wife thing? Yeah, no.
Chris McMonigle (1:46)
Is that if she grew up as well?
Craig Carton (1:47)
Yes.
Chris McMonigle (1:48)
So, it's a...
Craig Carton (1:49)
I didn't grow up like that.
Kevin (1:50)
No, your in-laws did.
Craig Carton (1:51)
Shoes in the house. My in-laws, yeah.
Kevin (1:52)
Right, right.
Craig Carton (1:53)
No shoes in the house.
Chris McMonigle (1:54)
The only time you take your shoes off is if you go into like an open house. Like if you want to buy a house. And the owner might be like, you know what, a lot of people track it in there.
Craig Carton (2:01)
Our kids play on the floor. You track an immense amount of germs and whatever through the house when you wear your shoes.
Chris McMonigle (2:06)
Yeah. That's the rationale behind it?
Craig Carton (2:09)
Yes.
Chris McMonigle (2:09)
All right, listen.
Craig Carton (2:10)
Whatever makes her happy. I don't argue. Shoes come off.
Chris McMonigle (2:13)
Whatever makes her happy.
Craig Carton (2:14)
Shoes come off.
Chris McMonigle (2:15)
Kevin's in Mammarinex, Sal's. Great slice of pizza, of course. Kevin, how are you doing, buddy?
Kevin (2:21)
Well, you know, I'm still recovering from another loss. It was my third year in a row at the stadium when I saw another team celebrate. So today's better because the weather is nice. So I have an observation, a comment and a question. So the observation, first of all, I love the cadence between you two. I think it's what makes your show so great is, you know, just the back and forth, the way you guys just play off each other. So besides the, you know, you obviously know your sports, but the show itself is pretty entertaining because of that. So here's my comment. That story from Chris, and by the way, I'm a season ticket holder. I watch 120 I'm like a diehard fan. That's a non story. It's a non story. Like he doesn't want to come on your show because it's slipped out of his mouth.
