What I have found, especially recently, is that when you're open and you can share, what comes of it is potentially pretty beautiful.

And yes, for myself, because you can talk and you're not holding it all in, which I think is so, so just, it's just wrong. But it's easier said than done to share things that are painful. But it has helped me so much to talk about it. But I think the coolest thing is that when you share your experiences, your pain, others share theirs. And not only you realize you're not even close to alone, and then they realize the same thing. And then you're helping each other by sharing your story. I just think everybody wins. And everybody has their own way of doing it too, certainly.

But I'm just not afraid of sharing it anymore. And it's so rewarding.

Michael Gervais (1:06)

Okay, welcome back or welcome to the Finding Mastery Podcast. And my name is Michael Gervais by Trade and Training. I'm a sport and performance psychologist. I'm also the co-founder of Compete to Create. And I just want to say, your time is really valuable, and I appreciate you spending your time here. We spent a lot of time thinking about what is the right mechanism? What is the right investigation process? What is the right way of getting out, you know, highlighting and celebrating people that are extraordinary so that you can adopt some of those same principles or understand where they're coming from. And so you can have a process to anchor deeper, like where you're going in your life and what you're working to understand. And I really want to understand with people, like what are they trying to do in life and who are they trying to be? And then what are the ways that they are exploring to make that happen? You know, there's no roadmaps. It's an unchartered path for you becoming you. No one's done it before.

And I love it.

I love it. And I just want to say thank you for being part of this community and sharing that love and hopefully you being able to have a deeper sense of who you want to be and helping people in your life do the same.

And then on top of it, being able to do the extraordinary things that you want to do in life. So that's the whole idea behind this podcast and behind these conversations. And the thing that concerns me a bit is like, are we doing the people that are coming on the podcast, the guests, are we doing them justice? And I know that we're not because they've, you can't in 45 minutes or an hour, but like hopefully some of their genius is amplified. Now, when I say genius, I'm talking about vulnerability, I'm talking about courage, I'm talking about not just like their intelligence, right? And then the other thing that I get concerned about is that it's a really meaningful part of your experience and life as well. So I just want to say thank you and we are mission minded and you are a massive part of this mission.

I want to take a minute here to announce a really exciting event that we have coming up. As you continue to navigate the challenges and opportunities of 2024, I want to pose a question. What are you doing right now to be great with stress? How are you working with stress on your pursuit towards your most important ambitions and goals?
