Hello. And they are coming to you after a White Sox loss. 3-2 against those damn Yankees. Sox fall to 55-51 in game 106 on the year. We're going to talk about everything under the sun.
You know, some ups, some downs, some bright spots, some lowlights. Not as bad as yesterday's game, though. I was kind of offended after yesterday's game. This one, offensively, was frustrating, kind of similar to Saturday's loss to Houston against Hunter Brown.

**Herb Lawrence** (1:01)
Yeah, they just didn't have the clutch hits when you need them. And you need clutch hits. You started so many innings off with leading hitters on base and just failed to bring those guys in. I mean, didn't really string any hits together to get the job done. When they had Garrett Cole on the ropes, they didn't get him off.

**Sean Anderson** (1:20)
No, and they didn't.
And it was the first three innings that he cruised through. And then we get to the bottom of the fourth. And that's where the White Sox start getting some traffic. Let's just take you through it really quick. It's game 106, 55 and 50 The Sox are heading into today. It's K versus Cole. Top one, Anthony K. What a start. Three strikeouts striking out the side. Goldschmidt, Rice, Rosario. See you later. Bottom one, Antonacci's best at bat. He's wearing the high socks. So you think, oh, here's a ball player. He's going to get a hit today. He doesn't.
Jazz Chisholm, though, a nice play, making a diving stop to Rob Sam Antonacci. Socks go down one, two, three. Top two, leadoff singles by Dominguez and Grisham. Peters nearly robs Volpe. He keeps the ball in the park, though. It's only an RBI double. Yankees lead one to nothing. They're not done there. Schumann with an RBI Baltimore chop scoring two runs, three nothing Yankees. He does get the next two, but 44 pitches through two innings for Anthony Kaye.
It wasn't his best inning, obviously. You know, two leadoff singles, not great, but it's not as egregious as Schultz's inning in the fourth and then Murphy blowing it when, you know, he has inherited runners there. This one was, you know, Anthony Kaye being fairly competitive and that bouncer, I mean, it's the type of, you know, contact you want, but just unlucky.

**Herb Lawrence** (2:44)
Yeah, I didn't think Anthony Kaye pitched all that poorly like you were talking about. It's too, it's just that second inning caught up with him.
Hard hit ball, like you were talking about with Tristan Peters going to the wall and the ball kind of getting jarred out by hitting the wall at the time. And Tristan, for his, to his credit, kept that ball in the ballpark and only one run, even though the runners were on second and third. So that guy on second had to stay close because he thought Tristan had a beat on that ball and he threw it in pretty quickly. But yeah, when they scored three runs and I saw what the White Sox did in their first couple innings, I was like, it's going to be a long day. Three runs might be way too much for the White Sox to overcome. I was pressing it, but I didn't think the White Sox would hold the Yankees to the three runs that they did.

Yeah, and they did. After that, after the top of the second, the Sox hold them two, three. Bottom four is when the Sox finally start getting some traffic on the bases. There was a Braden Montgomery single in the bottom of the second. We'll talk about Braden later on in the show. But bottom four, Mune with a lead off double. Vargas then walks. Colson works it full and pops out to right field. That felt like the chance, truly, with the guy getting the full count, especially your big bopper.
I need a big bopper drop. Oh, baby, you know what I like is a pop out to right field.

But he was at three and one. And remember, Garrett Cole threw that loopy slider at the top of the zone with the three one count because he knows that Colson probably sitting dead red right there.
