Hello, and welcome back to another Nextlander Podcast. The energy goes up. Sometimes they don't have to remember, and then it goes back up again. Alex Navarro, welcome.

**Alex Navarro** (0:22)
I'm on an even keel. Just like a flat line. It's above the baseline, but it's not really fluctuating much. It's just kind of like a smooth.

**Vinny Caravella** (0:31)
I like it. It's good. Okay. Yeah, it just keeps going.

**Alex Navarro** (0:38)
Yeah.

**Vinny Caravella** (0:39)
Good tail on that smooth.

**Alex Navarro** (0:41)
Smooth.

**Vinny Caravella** (0:42)
Brad Shoemaker.

**Brad Shoemaker** (0:43)
Hi.

**Vinny Caravella** (0:44)
There it is. Wow.

**Brad Shoemaker** (0:45)
How are you?

**Vinny Caravella** (0:47)
Well, I was kind of fluctuating, but now I am high energy. Thank you very much.

**Alex Navarro** (0:51)
We found Peppy Brad.

**Vinny Caravella** (0:52)
That's right.

**Brad Shoemaker** (0:52)
Oh, great.

**Vinny Caravella** (0:53)
Peppy Brad.
I didn't get a ton of sleep last night. Stuff with the house gets in my head and I get... Would you guys, my wife said to me this morning, she said, it's weird, my wife says. It's weird, she says. You're like a secretly type A person. I said, what? I was like, she's like, yeah, you really get like fixated on stuff and it needed to be a certain way.

**Brad Shoemaker** (1:23)
Wait, is that what type A means?

**Vinny Caravella** (1:25)
And I was like, I don't know if that's what type A means. She's like, no, she's like, yeah, you're kind of right, but also you're kind of a type A. I was like, well, I'm definitely not like a very neat person who needs everything orderly and like precise. You are a doer. What's that?

**Alex Navarro** (1:42)
You are a doer and a type A person tends to be a doer.

**Brad Shoemaker** (1:47)
More competitive, highly organized, ambitious, goal-oriented, impatient, and highly aware of time management.

**Alex Navarro** (1:52)
I think like two of those things.

**Vinny Caravella** (1:54)
Maybe I am type A. I don't think I'm, she does call me competitive sometimes, but then I always say I'm not competitive, but then I think I only compete in things I'm going to win at. So does that make me competitive or not competitive?

**Alex Navarro** (2:07)
I think that makes you cautiously competitive.

**Vinny Caravella** (2:09)
OK, makes me smart. Yeah, got it. Yeah, I don't know, because stuff with this house doesn't stress her out at all.
She's like, it'll get done. Why are you losing sleep over this thing? You talk to the person.

**Alex Navarro** (2:26)
Relax.

**Vinny Caravella** (2:26)
And I'm like, yeah, I know, but they didn't get back to me. And now I need to make sure that we talk to them.

**Alex Navarro** (2:32)
I think what this is getting at has less to do with type A stuff and more to do with a thing that you are actually very similar to me about, which is that you don't like disruption in your routine and space. You do not like being in a state of flux.

**Vinny Caravella** (2:45)
No.

**Alex Navarro** (2:46)
You like things to be settled.

**Vinny Caravella** (2:47)
Every day, same day, same pair of clothes, same meal.

**Alex Navarro** (2:51)
Yeah, that has nothing to do with type A. That has everything to do with not liking fluctuation or disruption.

**Vinny Caravella** (2:56)
Yeah, you're right.

**Alex Navarro** (3:00)
I'm your wife now.

**Vinny Caravella** (3:01)
Yeah.

**Alex Navarro** (3:02)
I know you better.

**Vinny Caravella** (3:03)
I don't know if you guys have this. I think I've actually mentioned this before. I always have this image of the one, the person that I consider to be gliding through life. And I don't know if this is true. It's just the thing that is always stuck in my mind that I'm like, man, this Hakuna Matata motherfucker is just the best. I just, Sean Coons just seemed to like, glide through life and like, hey, don't worry about it. It's gonna be fine.

**Alex Navarro** (3:32)
For anyone who doesn't know the deep lore of Sean Coons, Sean Coons is an ex-whiskey media person, programmer, early developer there, and just the most unbothered motherfucker I've maybe ever met.

**Vinny Caravella** (3:45)
It's just like, it's the person where I feel like, if the angry person who smashes, you rear-end somebody and somebody gets out some cliche New Jersey guys stomping towards your car, and Coons is like, hey man, it's going to be all right. And you cut to scene later where they're both having a drink in a bar, it's just like, hey, say hi to the wife and kids for me, I'll see you around Christmas. All right, he's a good guy. He's a good guy, we worked it out, it's fine.
