Yeah, I've known you, known of you for quite some time. I've always felt like a little bit of a kindred spirit with you.
Always felt like you had this fast twitch mind.

It's an interesting, it's never been described as such.

And I've watched the special, I should say the doc two-parter, aka Charlie Sheen on Netflix. It is really compelling.

And it is well-made. Like as a guy who's made quite a few docs, some docs are a little bit lazy.

**Charlie Sheen** (3:06)
Yeah.

**Adam Carolla** (3:06)
This is not it. This is interesting, lots of creativity, lots of archival, like really well put together.

**Charlie Sheen** (3:15)
Thank you. Thank you. Yeah. No, I'm not credited as a producer on it, right? But I was heavily involved in all the prep work.
The director, Andrew Renzi and myself, we, gosh, we spent I think over a year preparing for it. And so much of that was archival.

**Adam Carolla** (3:41)
Yeah, it is put together. So a lot of docs are put together in a kind of pedestrian way, just sort of A, B, C, D, what happened, let's go chronologically, show footage, so on and so forth.

**Charlie Sheen** (3:55)
Right.

**Adam Carolla** (3:56)
Now they're becoming like a little bit of an art form. Like they're using graphics and they're just taking creative leaps and doing things or makes you think for a second. Sure.
This is done from the standpoint of like a filmmaker, not a documentarian.

**Charlie Sheen** (4:15)
Exactly. Yeah. No. He married those two worlds, I think brilliantly.

**Adam Carolla** (4:23)
Yeah. It was really an interesting choice because they put Charlie in this very sterile environment of a booth at a coffee house, a coffee shop, diner, diner, right?
And so you would go from this very stripped down, sort of unplugged, acoustic, you, cup of coffee, sitting in a booth, no bells or whistles, to the really artistic, interesting layered stuff and then back to the unplugged acoustic.

**Charlie Sheen** (4:55)
Yeah. No. I think the contrast and the way it was juxtaposed was, I think it was almost like it created those elements as their own character.

**Adam Carolla** (5:07)
Yeah. It's compelling. It moves. And I would say for those of you, and I will watch any doc just because I'm interested in learning things, but there are a lot of people, a lot of dumber people who go, I'm only gonna watch a doc that entertains me.

**Charlie Sheen** (5:27)
Right.

**Adam Carolla** (5:27)
Now, being informed is a byproduct for them. For me, it's the product.
