The Rays are in the World Series after beating the Guardians in 6 and setting up the analytics World Series with the Brewers (00:00:00-00:13:06). MNF and the Niners stay undefeated while Jayden Daniels had an up and down game and another weird situation with him and Dan Quinn (00:13:06-00:37:07).

SPEAKER_2 (2:14)
Sports Equinox is always a powerful, powerful thing.
Dan Katz (2:16)
Do you want to talk to World Series, the Tampa Bay Rays, and punch their ticket?
SPEAKER_2 (2:19)
World Series, it is the championship series in a major sport. I think that's where we have to start.
Dan Katz (2:24)
Okay, so the Rays are going to the World Series to play the Brewers. They win game six.
SPEAKER_2 (2:30)
Two first timers in the World Series.
Dan Katz (2:32)
Yup.
SPEAKER_2 (2:32)
Love that. Potential first time champions.
Dan Katz (2:35)
Yeah, yeah. Yeah, neither team has won it. The Rays have been to the World Series recently. The Brewers, 1982
That was actually great showing by the TROP. Let's give them some credit. The TROP showed up. Max, you agree?
SPEAKER_3 (2:49)
Yeah, the TROP was bumping. They kind of had...
I was feeling the vibes from the TROP last night. They kind of swayed me.
Dan Katz (2:57)
Yeah, Junior Cameron Arrow, huge home run. Freddie Peralta has been incredible. Remember, we had Anthony Rizzo on the show a couple weeks ago. The things that he said to us, he said, if you're a hitter, go to Los Angeles. If you're a pitcher, go to Tampa. Freddie Peralta is a shining example of that.
I saw someone comment on it that, you know, Freddie Peralta was bad for the Mets this year. He gets traded to the Rays.
They tell him to throw more change ups. They move where he plays or where he pitches from in terms of on the rubber. He's closer to third base. He's pitching out of the stretch. He's been one of the best pitchers in the last six weeks, including the playoffs. And the Rays feel, they feel game. This feels like a fun World Series, PFT.
SPEAKER_2 (3:38)
It's also a coordination of nerd culture in baseball. Because I talked about this when the Brewers advanced. But the two teams share a lot of commonality in the front office. They've gone back and forth. There's guys that have been on each team over the past 10 years. Played analytics. Played analytics. Yeah, they played spreadsheet. They've got some of the best. It's battleship analytics. Yeah, spreadsheet guys. But it is going to be small ball. We're going to see some small ball. We're going to see a lot of directional hitting. We're going to see steals. We're going to see bunting. So it's going to be a fun world series, I think, for sure.
Have we reached closure on the brass ticket, the forever ticket? Did the Brewers end up doing the right thing on that?
Dan Katz (4:18)
I think they didn't.
SPEAKER_2 (4:20)
They did not do the right thing on it.
SPEAKER_3 (4:22)
I think they did give tickets, but I think it's like...
SPEAKER_4 (4:25)
Their version of the right thing, their tickets are in like the 400 section. That's what it is.
