The choice of a lawyer is an important decision and should not be based solely on advertisements.

Rizz (0:34)

Big thanks to everyone who went to the Greek Fire Show on Saturday. A portion of ticket sales went to Cardinal Glennon.

Moon, excellent job.

Moon Valjean (0:42)

Oh, thanks, dude.

Rizz (0:43)

It was a wonderful evening. Good to see the band back together. Yeah. Fire on all cylinders. What, it's been seven years?

Moon Valjean (0:49)

Seven years since we headlined. Yeah, seven years since we headlined. Other than the 2020, remember we did like a, we raised money. Well, yeah, in 20, I mean, headline show. We did one at Padres.

Rizz (1:01)

Oh, it was like a one-off.

Moon Valjean (1:02)

For the Musicians Fund. Yeah, everybody was out of work as far as COVID. So that was the last time that we headlined.

Rizz (1:08)

I was standing with Johnny Venus' wife, Malia, and I was like, man, it's been a while since we've seen these fellows on stage.

Moon Valjean (1:16)

It took a rest and it was really, really an honor and a pleasure to come back.

The band started very, very theatrically and to be a bit bigger than ourselves, bigger than a rock band. The last couple of shows, Point Fest, you get maybe a half hour, we were a rock band and it was good to be back to exactly what this band was built for and what it's for.

Rizz (1:40)

Full hour and a half set. Yeah.

Moon Valjean (1:42)

Full hour and a half multimedia, three different acts. And you know, I have to credit.

Rizz (1:46)

Yeah, more and more outfit changes than Cher.

Moon Valjean (1:48)

Well, too, yes.

Lern (1:49)

Yeah, The Cardigan made an appearance. I loved it.

Moon Valjean (1:51)

Yeah, I want to credit.

Rafe Williams (1:53)

Lamborghini.

Moon Valjean (1:54)

Our audience, like our audience in particular. And that's one of the reasons that we kept it like a simple, a simple bill with Native Monster and their first show, because I knew that they were, that they're an artistic band as well. They're a multimedia band. And like when you come out and you haven't headlined for seven years and you're hoping for your audience to return and a new audience perhaps.

And you're doing something like we're doing. Like it's a mix between Phantom of the Opera and My Chemical Romance kind of thing as far as the delivery of the show. You just, we're doing it. That's what I'm doing. That's what this band is. It's Christopher Nolan Rock. But you don't know exactly how it's going to, how the audience is going to react. And dude, credit the crowd because they got the assignment and understood exactly what we're doing and just supported it.

Lern (2:40)

It was great to sing it along.

Moon Valjean (2:41)

It was great to see everybody had a good time.

Lern (2:42)

I forgot about Break Me Down.

SPEAKER_6 (2:45)

I love that song.

Moon Valjean (2:46)

Yeah.

Lern (2:46)

And I think it was like the second song in the set, maybe your third. And I was like, oh, I forgot because you, it's been so long.

Moon Valjean (2:54)

Yeah.

Lern (2:55)

And also the new music that you debuted, it fit right in. Like it fit completely right in with the music that we know. And I thought that that was really impressive.

Rizz (3:04)

I could see some kids there, a couple 10-year-olds.

Moon Valjean (3:08)

Oh yeah. It was very cool.

Lern (3:09)

It was cool.

Moon Valjean (3:09)

It was very cool, dude. I'm so proud. I'm so proud of everybody that's involved because it takes 50 people to make a show like that work.

And everybody involved was just on it and loving it. And everybody, we all just, we all felt like we were 19 after that show. And we've been talking about it all weekend, texting and calling each other like, I love you, man. Like this was so good.

Rizz (3:29)

Listen, it was a magnificent evening. So congratulations to you and the boys.

Moon Valjean (3:34)

And I do have to say that the most special thing that happened, but I didn't even know it was gonna happen. It was so cool to see you guys and like old friends that I haven't seen in years, like, you know, come back and support. But my son, like, you know, my kids, my kids are my kids and dad's been doing music their whole life.

My son is like a fan of the music. Him and his friend Noah, like they were in the crowd and seeing my son, not just like out there, but like participating as someone who enjoys the music and like clapping and singing and all that. I was like, dude, and it choked me up at the end.
