Monday Night Football is officially in the books. That puts a bow on week one in the NFL 2026 Final score, Chiefs 31-10. We go under the total of 42.5. Chiefs cover as a 2.5-point favorite in this divisional matchup, and they dominated. You know, early in the game, these two teams traded blows early. Bo Nix was picked off on the first drive of the contest and third play of the game. Kansas City then went 10 plays, 46 yards. Mahomes with a touchdown run of 15 yards.

25-1, he caches as your first touchdown scorer. 7-1, anytime touchdown, that gave Kansas City the lead, 7-0.

Denver then responded with a touchdown on the ensuing drive. 7 plays, 68 yards. Evan Ingram in the end zone, 19 yards out. He was 5-1 to score a touchdown in the game.

We get into the second quarter, and we're at a point now where we had six consecutive punts from these teams. Kansas City though, right before the end of the half, they score to make it 14-7 with a minute 39 remaining. They went 10 plays, 80 yards, as Rashid Rice scores a touchdown from 13 yards out. He was plus 175 to score a touchdown. Kansas City covers minus a half a point in the first half. We just get over the total of 20.5 in the first half with the score at that point 14-7. Third quarter opens up and that's when things got out of control. There was a snowball effect with Kenneth Walker just dominating. A 60-yard touchdown run from the free agent acquisition. He was minus 115 to score an anytime touchdown. That made this a 21-7 game. Denver then punted Kansas City through an ill-advised Mahomes interception over the middle from their own zone. However, Denver had to settle for a field goal because of penalties, made it 21-10. Kansas City mitigated that field goal with one of their own 24-10. Then Denver fumbled, which opened things up here for Kansas City to score another touchdown via Kenneth Walker, this time on a shovel pass. His second of the day, 31-10, was the score. He was 5-1, by the way, Walker, to score two touchdowns in the game. And ultimately, that is the final score of the game because Kansas City, who got the football back and was well within field goal range deep into Denver territory, they knelt it on fourth and nine to give the ball back to the Broncos, which allowed us to very fortunately cash the under in Monday night football.

That is how things shook out and went down. And that is how we end week one of the National Football League in 2026 Favorites by my tally go nine and five against, I'm sorry, ten and six against the spread. Overs go nine and seven, nine and seven to the over in week one in the NFL. So that is the final tally for week one. Will that continue into week two? Well, that is the question that we have to find the answers to as we get ready for the weekend. Numbers are already on the move. This is the thing about betting the NFL.

You, with these numbers being as sharp as they are, these are the most sophisticated numbers out there, you need to make sure you're getting the best of them, but you also gotta be sure you believe in them and look for these opportunities that you like. We will monitor them as they move throughout the week here, but thus far, these are the biggest movers in the market, and we start with Thursday Night Football, as that's already moved a point.

Buffalo opened minus three and a half, total of 53 and a half. Total stayed exactly the same. It's the side that's on the move, moving a full point in Buffalo's favor. Bills are now up to a four and a half point favorite across the board, and looking at some of the numbers here, I think there's a spot to back Detroit. I think there's a spot where Detroit can hang within that number.

I try to think about these things from the human element. Detroit let off the gas against New Orleans. They were up 21-0, then they got super vanilla, thinking that they could sit on that lead. Problem is, in the NFL, other teams are going to come back when you do that. It's almost like they were saving their best stuff because it was a short week. It's a quick turnaround. And on a short week, I think they have the advantage. Maybe they were able to save some of that stuff for later. Maybe not. But Joe Brady's going through this for the first time. In the second week of his tenure as a head coach, he's never had to lead an organization with all the shifts, everything you have to get up to speed on quickly, transitioning, watching the film from last week, getting a game plan together for this week, hosting Detroit coming to town. I think there's a lot of questions you also add in, opening a new stadium there in Buffalo. There's going to be a lot of distractions around this game. And I think for Detroit, that's a pretty big number for them to be catching in primetime on the road. Everyone's going to want to back Buffalo. But Buffalo, if Kamari Lassner can hold on to the football, they might be 0-1 to start the year. On the other end for Detroit, if Tyler Schuck drops that ball to 2-point conversion in a better spot, or maybe they call a better play, New Orleans could have punked Detroit as a 7-point dog on the road at Ford Field in Week 1 But Dan Campbell as a dog, that's something I'd consider backing. He's 16 and 11 against the spread as a road dog. He's 17 and 5 against the spread as a dog of 3 1⁄2 to 9 1⁄2. He's 11 and 8 against the spread as a road dog of 7 or less. Another line move in Week 1, it features Seattle going to Arizona as some respect for the Cardinals coming in. They upset the Chargers to kick off the season in Week 1 They were the better team. It wasn't even a debate. From the jump, play number one, they had a better game plan, they looked more disciplined, they looked more talented than the Chargers, and this is a team people were discussing as contending for the worst record in the NFL. However, after one game, the market is adjusting on them. Seattle went from a minus 5 1⁄2, it's now 4 1⁄2.
