But we start in college football, top 25 games in progress. The big one being played in Austin where it is Ohio State all over Texas right now. And the thought process going into this game was, was it going to look different than what we saw last year when it was a 14-7 victory for Ohio State and Arch Manning came up short. And all the conversation throughout last season from Arch Manning, from Steve Sarkeesian, from everybody around Texas was, you cannot play how you did against Ohio State. And let's give Arch credit for as much hype as he had going into last season for all of his shortcomings early on last season. He ended the year on one of the best stretches of any quarterback that we saw last season. He had a month stretch where he was amongst the top quarterbacks in all of college football.

Coming into this season, obviously the hype a little bit lower than it was last year, but the expectations were higher because he dealt with that hype last year, because he dealt with that pressure, and because he ended the season so strongly. So he comes into the year as the second favorite to win the Heisman Trophy behind CJ Carr of Notre Dame. Obviously, those odds have flipped, but the conversation all off season was centered around this Week 2 game. How do you eliminate what happened last year, and how do you get past Ohio State so that you have a really good shot of making the college football playoff and being a national title contender? You know something, even if they lose this game, they still have a really good shot of making the college football playoff and being a national title contender. They are, along with Georgia, the top two favorites to win the SEC this year, and talent-wise, they're as loaded as anybody in the country.

But when you get into the playoffs, a victory over Ohio State here in Week 2 gives you the confidence that you can compete with anybody. But if you lose here in this game, now you go throughout the rest of the season, there's very little margin for error, and if you get to the College Ball Playoff, when you're matched up against, maybe it's Ohio State, maybe it's another one of these power teams, how do you stack up? Because everyone's going to look back at the performance against Ohio State as a measuring stick for what you're going to look like once you get to the College Ball Playoff. Right now, let's update you on what's going on here in Austin. There is about 8 minutes to go in the third quarter. We'll get you a live line as well, but it is Ohio State with a 20-3 lead over Texas. Ohio State scored late at the end of the first half in a situation where I thought Texas, now no one wants to think like this when you're defending late in the half, but I thought Texas really messed up because you can't allow a receiver to get behind you late in the half, right? Because the clock is your friend.
