Yeah, buddy, September the 1st, be with you on a Tuesday night on Dustin Swedelson. This is Cashing Out, and I'll be with you all night long as we broadcast from the Circus Sportsbook in downtown Las Vegas. Always catch the show and a new channel on SiriusXM, Channel 189, YouTube TV, the Visa Watch app and radio affiliates across the United States. Of God bless America.
Oh, you can smell week one. It's a full slate. You're ready to just pop open a beer, get some good snacks, sit on the couch for about 12, 13 hours and watch nothing but college football this weekend. We will get you there. We will preview these games. As I'll look at the line moves since these open to where we are now and give you some of the reasonings as to why I believe those numbers are moving. And if there's anything we can do from a betting perspective on those contests, we have a fun one lined up for you over the course of the next three hours. Coming up later this hour, we're going to continue our core four series, four bets every market until the season begins. NFL later this hour, rushing touchdown leader. We'll do that. Also bottom of this hour, Brock Vereen, Big Ten Network Analyst will join us. Preview of the Big Ten, also the entire National Landscape and College Football. He joins us in 29 minutes on the program. Second hour of the show, we will hit the campus crawl where there's a giant killer as a dog out there that I don't care if it loses. I will always back this guy in a big spot when he's catching points. I'll tell you who that is later on in the program. We also have a whole situation happening in Cleveland. The more Todd Monken speaks, the more I believe this is a David Cully Houston situation with Cleveland this year. Core four for college today will feature the Heisman Trophy. We did our bombs. We did the long shots already a couple of weeks ago. Now, it's the top middle of the board, the true bets to see if we can be profitable. It's tough, but I found four I like ranging from the 11-1 range up to 25-1 for the Heisman Trophy. Continuing with the theme of college football week one, Zach Bigelow, Coach Biggs checks in in the final hour of the show, and then pro-handicapper Scott Spreitzer, a legend in the game, joins us with his best bets in everything. College football, Major League Baseball, and the National Football League.
But let me get you situated on where we stand with baseball because as we're hitting the air, we see a bounce back performance from the Milwaukee Brewers. Nine-four victory over the Cubs after Milwaukee got shellacked at Wrigley Field on Monday night. They pick up the dub with the win nine to four. As Yelich hit his 10th homer of the year, Joey Ortiz went yard for the eighth time this season. You had multi-hit games from Churio, Terang, Contreras, and Joey Ortiz in this contest as Robert Gasser, four-and-a-third, two earned, four strikeouts. Matthew Boyd wasn't horrible. Five-and-a-third, three earned, and three strikeouts. The problem is that bullpen for the Cubs. And if there was one bugaboo that has me really concerned about backing the Cubs at 20-to-one at the trade deadline, it is the bullpen.
It's good. It's serviceable. It's solid. Do I believe in it, though, to shut down big lineups late in key games? No, we're going to need someone from this starting rotation to kick it into the bullpen and be a high leverage arm for them. But I do think that they have guys who are capable of doing that. And I think for the Cubs, their plan is pretty simple. We're trying to mash you to death. We're trying to hang with teams like the Dodgers, who historically, they're able to put up a ton of runs in the postseason. The Cubs believe they can do the same. And while I say that about the Dodgers, that hasn't necessarily been the Dodgers' case of lately, as they currently trail the Cardinals 7-0 right now at Dodgers Stadium.
Looking at this game, I went Dodgers team total over 4 1⁄2 against Michael McGreevey. McGreevey's a pitcher, full disclosure, all season long. I've tried to attack and fade, and he's made me look really, really stupid.
So tonight, I took over 4 1⁄2 on the Dodgers at home. It's the third inning. There's plenty of time here for them to get to him and get to this bullpen. But in terms of winning the game, Cardinals are up 7-0. Cardinals are still vying for a spot in the wild card. As we start the show, St. Louis, with everything that's transpired throughout the night, and by the way, with Philadelphia up 3-0, on the Arizona Diamondbacks in the fifth as well, that has implications here. You have St. Louis 4 1⁄2 back. Arizona loses, St. Louis finishes the job here. They're inching closer and closer to getting into that final wild card spot. Looking at earlier in the night, because San Diego is also in between these teams, as is Miami. Miami got the win on the road in Kansas City against Randy Dobnak and Company. 6-3 the final score. You could have got Miami plus $1.03. Under 9 1⁄2 just barely gets home as Kyle Stowers hit his 17th homer of the year. Tyler Phillips, five shutout endings with four strikeouts on the bump for the fish in that spot.
