It's Cashing Out, I'm Dustin Swedelson, broadcasting as always from the Circus Sportsbook in downtown Las Vegas. Me here, you there. Appreciate you making us a part of your night. However, you may be tuning in, SiriusXM, Channel 189, YouTube TV, the VSiN Watch app and radio affiliates across the United States of God Bless America. Final score, Sunday Night Football, the Packers with the win 23 to 13 over the Dallas Cowboys. So they cover closing as one point favorites. We go way under the total of 54 in that matchup. So that's the final score there. Some final scores that jumped out to me from earlier today. And I want to talk about this with the New York Football Giants because they're a fascinating case study right now. They lost today to the Saints. And to me, they're the story. I'm sorry, New Orleans. I know they got the win. They were one point favorites on the road to New Orleans. That was a play. I had a play on New Orleans on vsin.com/picks. Actually, I think we got plus two on that game. I want to confirm that real quick. We got a great number. We bet it last Sunday or Monday, but I do believe I didn't have a very good day. I went seven and five. So it was OK. Believe me, it was better than yesterday.

Saturday was Saturday for someone who bets almost primarily underdogs in college for a day like Saturday to go where it's nothing but underdogs cashing. It's wild. I went like two, seven and one because I wasn't on any of those big dogs that got home in the end.

But as far as this, we had plus one of the Saints, plus one of the Saints. So it closes New Orleans minus one. We go over the total of forty six and a half. But to me, the story for this game is all about the Giants. First of all, the Giants led ten, nothing came out hot start. Then they allowed the Saints to score thirty four straight points. There was a play with Alvin Kamara where I saw the weakest effort in tackling I've ever seen from the Giants. And the Giants were up against it. James Winston was intercepted twice. He was sacked four times.

All the sacks, by the way, were on him. Waiting too long with the football, thinking he could escape in the pocket. He just doesn't have it, man. And at some point with James Winston, it always runs its course. I don't know if we're there yet.

I think James probably deserves one more start, but here's where the question comes into play. JJ. McCarthy entered for the Giants when it was 34-18. Well, as I mentioned, final score was 34-27. He ripped off three scoring drives in the fourth quarter. By the way, he did throw an interception as well, but three scoring drives in the fourth quarter and had a chance to tie it in the final minute of the game, ultimately couldn't do it, but 243 yards, that was seven yards shy of his career high. It was as good as you can expect someone to come in in one quarter of play. The problem is for the Giants going forward is they've got some issues, right? They've got Jim Harbaugh, John Harbaugh, wanting to send a message to Cam Skattebo. Skattebo didn't have a single carry in this game today for the Giants, more on that in a minute, but also the way the schedule is shaking out, they're still in this. They're not a team that by any means should be panicking. They're three, two, and one. They're still in first place in the East as of right now, right?

Their last four games, they're two, one, and one. And coming up, they're going to Houston. Is that really where you want to give JJ McCarthy his first start as a Giant just a few weeks into being traded over there, where he's still learning the system and the playbook? Wouldn't you rather go into the buy, let him prepare for off the buy, where he's going to Philly and Jalen Hurts isn't going to be the starting quarterback in that matchup? Wouldn't you rather him avoid Houston and the way they're playing and even a potential shootout that I don't know he's capable of against that type of defense right now? That's where I'd be thinking if I was the Giants. I also think, James, you have to be sure that it's over because when you turn it over to JJ McCarthy, you want to find out what's there. You want to find out what type of meat is on that bone. And if there's nothing there, you move on at the end of the year, no harm, no foul. Didn't cost you much to get a guy who was a five-star recruit in college, won a national championship, and was a first-round pick a couple of seasons ago. So that all is good.
