Hey, folks, it's Tim Murray, and here we are. College football season, long Saturdays ahead, and staying locked in for an entire day of football takes a little bit more than coffee. Loreen's new pouch is built exactly for that, without the nicotine. It works just like the pouches you've seen before. Tuck one in and go about your day. Each has 50 milligrams of caffeine, about half a cup of coffee. Plus L-Theanine and Alpha-GPC for smooth, steady focus with no crash. And because it's Loreen, it's also got nano-hydroxyapatite, the mineral your teeth are made of. So it gives your daily enamel support in between brushings. It's smooth energy without the jitters. And it comes in mint, cinnamon and mango, all nicotine free. I love the cinnamon. Give Loreen a try.
Right now, Loreen is offering our listeners up to 50% off at buyloreen.com/college.

Coming to you from the Circus Sportsbook, here in downtown Las Vegas, I'm Scott Siedenberg. This is Cashing Out on VSiN, the sports betting network. We have a busy Saturday in college football on the precipice of a busy NFL week six Sunday, which we will get to the preview. We'll talk about the contest selections as well, and who we are on with our favorite stats and trends going into tomorrow's NFL week six Sunday slate. But we start in college football because we got big games in progress right now, including a key top 10 matchup in Provo, Utah, where BYU leads Notre Dame 21 to 10 with about six minutes to go here in the third quarter. So number two, Notre Dame, a ten and a half point to 11 point road favorite here in Provo. And yet it is BYU with a 21 to 10 lead over the Irish. I talked about these stats throughout the week. This is, and trends for me, I like to paint the picture with them. I don't use them as the end all be all, but when I can explain them, I use them to support my findings. So things that make sense to me when I look at trends, like does the market overvalue certain favorites, or are letdown situations real, like we saw earlier today with Georgia getting upset. Things like that, where I can look at the historical records and see a pattern and then explain that pattern, that's how I support my findings. Not just blindly looking at trend and saying, this team plays well on Thursdays when it's below 70 degrees and they wear white jerseys. No, but when it's a market trend like road favorites in certain spots do poorly, to me that tells a story. It means that the market has over inflated these teams or the public maybe has over inflated these teams. So a couple of trends that I looked at here during the week as it pertained to these top 10 matchups that we had here today. We had one earlier with Ohio State at Indiana and one here right now with Notre Dame at BYU. And this was the interesting findings. Going back to the start of the 2021 season, and I always do 2021 for all my trends, not just because in the NFL, it's the start of the new era of the NFL, right? The shortened preseason, the extra game in the regular season. But it's also post-COVID world and everything changed post-COVID. Fans are back, we're back in the stadium, everyone hit the reset button. So 2021 is like the new modern era for all of these sports. So that's where I always go back to with my trends. Now, if I want to expand the sample size, I'll go back further 10 years or so. But I looked at a couple of things here. Top 10 matchups, going back to 2021, when you have a top 10 matchup, where the road team is favored, and we had two situations here today. Ohio State, a three and a half point favorite at Indiana, Notre Dame, a 10 and a half point favorite at BYU. Those road favorites, four, seven, and one against the spread. Small sample, but a negative record. So I went back even further. Let's go back to 2016 Let's do 10 plus years.
Nine, 16, and one against the spread, these road favorites. Ohio State should have lost to Indiana. Indiana should have covered, or actually won outright. And I'm not just talking about the receiver stepping out of bounds on the game-winning touchdown, but also the missed field goals earlier, some decisions by Cignetti earlier in the game. Indiana was in it the whole time. They should have won outright. They should have covered the three and a half, but they didn't. And BYU here was a very interesting case. And BYU was one of my best bets of the week. Had it in the Westgate contest, had it everywhere. You can have it. Not just because BYU has shown how talented they are this season, and Notre Dame hasn't played anybody this season. Also, we know with the expanded College Football playoff, Notre Dame could lose this game. It doesn't mean anything for them. They're still going to get into the playoff, right?
