Coming to you from the Circus Sportsbook here in downtown Las Vegas. I'm Scott Seidenberg. This is Cashing Out on VSiN, the Sports Betting Network, where we have drama right now on Thursday Night Football. A game that has been lackluster, a game that has been slow, a game that has been dominated by defense and some would say bad offense has come down to the final five minutes and we have a field goal game. The Broncos lead 14-11 over the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle just scored a touchdown and got the ensuing two point conversion to make this a three point game. Up until this point, Sam Darnold and the Seahawks offense had been completely non-existent. Jackson Smith and Jigba in the first half was completely non-existent, but he has come on here in the second half and despite the Denver Broncos missing the bulk of their secondary here with no Pats or Tan, no Hufanga, they have held JSN and the Seahawks offense in check. But on this last drive, Seattle was able to move down the field, JSN with a couple of big catches, he's now sitting with 82 receiving yards on eight catches and it is a field goal game. Now, the Broncos have been in cruise control ever since the first half ended, right? They have not had to do anything as Bo Nix is going to not take off and run. I did bet Bo Nix rushing yards over and he just hasn't run at all tonight. We'll see if he gets credit for a couple of positive yards on that play because he only had one rush for zero yards up until this point. But anyway, the Broncos offense non-existent because they didn't have to do anything. Their defense, again, despite missing key players in their secondary tonight, has completely held Seattle in check. The Broncos took a 14 to 3 lead in the second quarter. And that's all the offense that we saw up until that last Seattle drive. Both teams exchanging punts, both teams not doing anything on offense. Seattle missed a field goal at one point. And the Broncos just content to milk the clock and move methodically down the field and punt the football away when they have to and not allow Seattle to get back into this game. There was a key moment on the previous Denver drive where they had a fourth and one inside their own territory. And Sean Payton decided to punt the football. And I heard Patrick Maher and Keyshawn Johnson earlier on the Thursday night betcast here on VSiN say that they would have went for it. And I disagree. And I'm usually a guy that says go for it, right? Analytics this, analytics that, I'm all for it. Be aggressive, try and win a football game. But you have to understand the game situation at that point. The Seattle offense had done nothing. The Denver defense was doing great to that point. And if you do not get that first down and you give Seattle the football on the 30 yard line, well, they're already in field goal range then with an opportunity to make it a one-possession game with well over seven or eight minutes left in the game.

Now, I get it. If you get the field goal there, if you get the first down there, your winning percentage goes up tremendously. In fact, let's see if we can look up the Ben Baldwin fourth down bot to see what the win percentage says on that play. We don't have, he doesn't, let's see, do we have a fourth down bot update on that? I'll look on Twitter to see if we have the fourth down bot, what Ben Baldwin's decision has there on that play, to see if it recommends that you would have, should have gone for it or not. If you get the first down there, I get it, your win percentage goes up. But if you don't, your winning percentage goes down pretty significantly because you allow Seattle to get right back in the football game. Instead, punt the football away, make them march down the field, which, okay, they did, give them credit, they did. And now, we are at a field goal game, and here we are with an opportunity, 14-11, 324 left.
