I gotta tell you, one of the four I didn't think was gonna be in there coming into the year, the reality is, the more I thought about it, the more I looked at what they did in the portal, and more importantly, the number posted next to them on principle. I had to put them in the core four of national champion picks. We'll do that later on in the show. Breaking news at this hour before we get you updated on all of the live action, and that is a judge has ruled LSU's new players are eligible. Judge rules that Xavian Harris, Daquan Wright, and several others that were in this grievance with the NCAA and Louisiana are now going to be able to play this season. The injunction granted by Judge William Jordan paves the way for the NCAA and SEC eligibility for more than 40 athletes. That includes the two that we just named. Daquan Wright told ESPN he expects to be added to the roster and available this week against Clemson. Xavian Harris, the D lineman said he expects to be added to the roster as well. Now, this may not be done.
According to attorneys representing the SEC, they plan to file an appeal to the decision, which is so odd to see that you have one league working against one of its own members because they don't like the way they're operating. And I will stand by the thing that I've stood by all along on this. To call these kids NFL players is completely disingenuous. The NCAA who governs all of this could have figured this out months ago, but they let it happen in the government court space. They let the government decide what is right or wrong instead of making a decision. Leaving these kids in limbo where they were waiting for the ruling. And odd that it took this long to get here the week of the season, we finally get an answer. Why couldn't this happen a month or two ago? But they were waiting for this ruling to happen for months. And they had to do something with their lives and the chance that they were denied the ability to go back to college. They had to join an NFL team. This is not the kids' fault. It is not Lane Kiffin's fault. It is not LSU's fault. It will always, always forever be the NCAA's fault. And more on that. Does it impact Clemson and LSU this week, where that spread is 10?
