Before I line up what we have coming up today on the show, just do want to get a live bet in because as we were hitting the air, the New York Yankees scored their first run of the game. They trailed the Angels in Anaheim 4-1. The Angels are a team that can't get out of their own way. They're one of the worst teams, if not the worst roster in all of baseball. They've lost seven in a row, yet here they are leading the Yankees 4-1. That's because Walbear Urena is on the bump, and Urena has been very good. He's a sub-3 ERA on the season. However, the Angels have lost three of his last four starts. Really not his fault totally. Usually as the game goes on, he will allow a few more runs here and there. I think we've reached a point where it's time to look at the Yankees. Now I've missed the last few long shots I've bet. As we've done that, joining the show here on Cashing Out, and full disclosure, I am about this close away from retiring from betting on baseball until next year. But I think it's worth a look with an Angels bullpen that any piece that matters has been moved off of this roster, has a 4-3-2 ERA on the season, one of the worst in all of Major League Baseball. We can get the New York Yankees in game a couple different ways. You want to go 4-1? I don't hate that. You want to take them plus 2.5, minus 1.18?
That is the safer play.
If you know me, you know how I live my life, I'm not really a moderation person. If I'm going to watch a TV show, I'm going to watch the whole season in one sitting. If I'm going to eat, look at me, boys and girls, I'm going to eat. And if I'm going to bet on this game, I'm going for glory. I'm going for it all. There's nothing sharp about what's coming out of my mouth right now. But what we are going to do is take advantage of the fact that the Yankees line up against the Bad Angels team can absolutely still win this game. There is plenty, plenty of opportunity. The rest of the way is we move to the bottom of the fifth inning. We have the sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth. We have four more at bats with the road team. Give me the Yankees, four to one. Little bit of funsies, not a full unit. We'll do about a quarter unit on this one.
See if we can ride and have a little bit of fun. Four to one on the Yankees. Limited risk with all the reward we are looking for tonight. As we sweat that one out, as the show begins. Currently going on in Major League Baseball, there are a few games at play. The Astros lead the White Sox six to three right now in Houston. We're in the eighth inning there.
Orioles and Rockies tied up at ones in the sixth at Coors Field. I mentioned the Angels four, one of the Yankees in the fifth. And then finally the Phillies on top of the Diamondbacks, two to one as Cattell-Marte has returned from whatever that was for the last couple weeks here for Arizona. Phillies with the lead. We need this one because we went O in three earlier today at vsin.com/picks. We lost Peyton Toley over 17 and a half outs recorded by one.
We lost the Mets or the raise first five minus a half run because the Mets were up one nothing. Robert Stock, I think, has five or six starts this year. Every time I bet against him, he's been brilliant. The two times he got shelled, I didn't have anything against him. So that just goes to show you where I'm at with my baseball prowess at this point in time. But we can make up for a little bit of that if this comes home and then if the Yankees come home at four to one, we will keep you updated on all the baseball action all night long. I'll tell you what happened earlier in the night in just a moment, but coming up at the bottom of the hour, Tanner Morgan is going to be on the show, Big Ten Network analyst, former quarterback at Minnesota. We'll talk about one of the Gophers. Can they get over a low win total? Are they a sleeper team in the Big Ten? To make a little bit of noise here with a quarterback returning and Drake Lindsay, then big picture on that league because Ohio State is the favorite, and I don't understand why. I'll ask Tanner Morgan about that at the bottom of this hour. Gary Segers will be us college football handicapper. He looks at some of those smaller schools that maybe are off the beaten path, but numbers worth betting. He'll share his favorite plays for college football week one.
