Yeah, buddy, August the 30th, be with you on a Sunday night. Welcome on into the program. I'm Dustin Swedelson, and I'll be with you all night long as we broadcast from the Circus Sportsbook in downtown Las Vegas. Got a fun show lined up for you tonight. We've got plenty to hit, whether it's Major League Baseball, College Football, the NFL. It's all gonna be covered over the course of the next three hours. Some news out of the NFL with Cut Day obviously here, but also a return of the three-time Defensive Player of the Year, Aaron Donald. You'll hear from Aaron Donald, Sean McVeigh coming up later on this hour. We also look back on what went down in week zero, and are there any plays to be made after all the dust has settled? I'm going to throw some of your way in a thing we do called Prisoner of the Moment Plays. One team to reach their conference final that I think the path is completely set up, and another team that I love to make the College Football playoff, speaking of College Football week zero, we're going to transition to week one. I fired off a few bets earlier today. There's one game that I want to find a bet on. I can't decide if it's the side or the total. I like the dog, I like the under. I keep going back and forth on this. You'll help me decide. You can be a part of the program at dustinswedelson.com, at VSiN Live.
cashingoutatvsin.com is the email to find us. Also later on in the show, the core four continues on as we preview the NFL season. We're hitting defensive player of the year where I have a 100 to one shot that I'm going to try and make a case for later on in the program. Awesome guests as well. Bottom of this hour, Chris Plank, SiriusXM College Sports Radio, also part of the Oklahoma Sooners Radio Network. He will be on the show. Get his thoughts on week zero, but more importantly, week one, big picture Oklahoma. I am very high on John Mattier. I think at 25 to one, he's a value play to win the Heisman Trophy. I want to hear what Chris thinks, what he's seeing out of Mattier in camp because I'm under the belief that last season, John Mattier was a guy who came back from injury way too early and because of that, he never was the same guy as the season went on and on. Still guided the Sooners to the playoff, but what's Mattier going to look like year number two, more importantly, another year in offensive coordinator, Ben Arbuckle system. In about one hour, Joel Schreck is going to be with us, College Football Handicapper. He was all over the FCS last week. He had a monster week. Unfortunately, we didn't have him on the show. So now I said, I got to get Joel on the show, get his thoughts for the upcoming week. He has a few plays he likes as well. Emily Van Buskirk will join the program at 1130 PM Eastern time. She is tremendous covering the group before. She was out in Las Vegas for Memphis and UNLV. She just wrote a story on North Dakota State in their transition to the FBS level. They won their first game. Memphis won at UNLV. Who does she think are the best options to make the College Football playoff in previews of the Pac-12 Mountain West American and more with Emily at 1130 PM Eastern time? And then at Midnight Eastern, Tyler Fornis, who does an awesome job covering the Minnesota Vikings. Odd news out of Minnesota today. We were led to believe based on a few different reports that JJ McCarthy was not going to make the roster. He actually did, but I want to hear from Tyler. What's going on this season with Kyler Murray? How is he transitioning into the offense led by Kevin O'Connell, who has certainly done a lot more with less than Kyler Murray in the past. But is Kyler Murray a fit for what the Vikings want to do in 2026? We do have live baseball currently going on as well.
The Cincinnati Reds, thanks to a slew of home runs, they lead the Cubs 7-3. We're in the eighth inning here. Things got off to a hot start for PCA though, as he led off the bottom half of the first inning with a home run at Wrigley Field for the Chicago Cubs. But it's been nothing but Cincinnati ever since. So, Cubs went up 2-0, Cincinnati 3-4, 3-5, 1-7, 8th inning, they lead 7-0. Tyler Stevenson went yard for the 14th time this season, Dane Myers the outfielder with his sixth home run, and how about Sal Stewart? His 31st blast of the year, he's up to 105 RBI and looking at the National League Rookie of the Year market. Sal Stewart is minus 650
