This blocker returns to a previous theme, and I'll just set the scene.

I am going home to visit my parents, and I did not want to get them sick with anything. So I'm like, I'm gonna get a flu shot, because I know the flu is pretty, it's supposed to be pretty like widespread this year. So I'm like, it's entirely likely if I go through an airport or something like that, I would get this thing, and I would infect my parents who are obviously even much older than I am, and I'm already old. So I make the appointment, or I have to go there, it's at 4.3 to, it's like a pharmacy in the back of a grocery store, right? It's just this, it's whatever, they've got one back there, that's the only, all the drugstores in this area have closed through consolidation and whatever else. So I go to the supermarket, I walk into the supermarket to get my flu shot at like, you know, 4.28, let's say, and it's 4.3 is the appointment. And I walk in and out of the corner of my eye, I see the Pokemon machine. Okay.

SPEAKER_2 (1:10)

Oh, this is very exciting.

ThePrimeagen (1:11)

Okay.

Casey Muratori (1:11)

This is an opportunity to check, to see like, I'm like, this could be my chance to trash it up, right?

ThePrimeagen (1:19)

Yeah.

SPEAKER_2 (1:19)

Right.

Casey Muratori (1:20)

I go over there, I push the thing, I look, everything sold out. So I'm like, all right. So I go to the back of the store. I talk to the pharmacist. I'm like, I'm here for my flu shot. They're like, okay, just go wait over there. I go to this other area.

And I just kind of stand around. And then this lady comes out of the thing and she's like, Casey, I'm like, yeah, it's me. And they're like, all right, come on in. She's like, what's your birthday or whatever? They're like, you're here for the flu shot. I'm like, yeah. She's like, okay, great. She literally, I've never seen it like this before, I've had flu shots before.

She just goes like this on my arm. She just goes like, and there's like, all right, you're all set. It's a fact. I've never seen anything like it. I'm like, lady, if you gave these shots normally, they could inoculate this entire town in an afternoon. It was amazing. I was like, wow.

It was amazing. You didn't even warn me about pressure. I'm like, that's amazing. So I'm like, thank you very much. And I leave. And I'm walking out of the store and I'm like, crap. It's only like, I'm like, look at my watch. I'm like, it's 430 I'm like, what if the Pokemon has reset?

SPEAKER_2 (2:33)

Because Trash told me there's like times.

Casey Muratori (2:35)

What if the time is 430?

I could do this. So I intentionally do like a walk that takes me back by the Pokemon machine like a creeper, like I'm doing crashed creeps.

SPEAKER_2 (2:47)

See? It's natural.

Casey Muratori (2:49)

I push the thing, all sold out, unfortunately. It's like everything says sold out. But I look closer and there is one thing that was not sold out.

SPEAKER_2 (3:02)

It's like at the very top, right?

Casey Muratori (3:03)

Just the one worst one, unfortunately, of course, right? It's the cheapest. It's like $5. There's all these ones that are like $50.

So I'm like, yup, I'm getting it anyway. And I'm going to open this and see what the heck is in it. Because I don't know anything about Pokemon.

SPEAKER_2 (3:22)

The last two cards are the good ones. The last three.

Casey Muratori (3:25)

Oh, is this one where you're guaranteed to get an uncommon or something?

SPEAKER_2 (3:28)

Well, you'll get like holographs, but then you'll get like even better ones, potentially.

Casey Muratori (3:34)

Okay, okay.

ThePrimeagen (3:35)

I do want to first and close to the cam.

Casey Muratori (3:37)

I will trash.

ThePrimeagen (3:38)

Show them how you hold it.

SPEAKER_2 (3:40)

Do it the... You got to have cards available. There's a proper technique. There's a strategy here. So don't look.

Open the pack. Just open the pack.

Casey Muratori (3:47)

Okay. Well, hold on a second. I do want to read you something first because I don't know if all of you know this. Because it says right here on the back of the box that twinkling city lights and a starry sky become obscured in darkness as mega dark cry X.

With an EX on the end, Trash, what is that about? Expansion. What does that mean?

SPEAKER_2 (4:08)

It's just like a stronger version of a Pokemon or something.
