Nice job, Petey.

That's what Sean Payne is saying right now. After Brady is starting quarterback for sucking last night, they damn well threw that game away too. Crazy, crazy game last night. Carton Show, Big Mac, Great Avenue here.

Chris McMonigle (0:17)

I'll tell you what else I learned from the game last night.

Craig Carton (0:19)

Go.

Chris McMonigle (0:19)

Just real quick, JSN is the best wide receiver in the sport. That dude is unbelievable.

SPEAKER_3 (0:26)

On one leg for that second half too.

Chris McMonigle (0:27)

Some of the catches he made, the hands he has, the hand strength. He had that one across the middle in between three guys where he gets annihilated, holds on to it. And then there's that other one where he's practically being tackled while the ball pops out of his hands and he has to fight through the arms to reach out and grab it again and pull it back in. He is, he is such a, see, he is so consistent a receiver. I would say that I would trust throwing him the ball over any other receiver in the game right now.

SPEAKER_3 (0:52)

And he's not a big guy.

Craig Carton (0:53)

He's not a big target.

Chris McMonigle (0:54)

He's not.

Craig Carton (0:55)

Either.

Chris McMonigle (0:55)

But I am, I am uber impressed with him. I thought they were going to be able to run the football. The Broncos haven't been able to run the football, even though they're, you know, down some backs here. I thought they could move the ball enough, but they just couldn't. And then they were teeing off on Sam Darnold last night. Just teeing off on him.

Craig Carton (1:10)

I went and checked. How many times do you think he got hit?

Chris McMonigle (1:12)

Yeah.

Craig Carton (1:13)

Whether it was a sack or not in the game last night.

Chris McMonigle (1:15)

15, 16?

Craig Carton (1:16)

Yeah, it was 18

Chris McMonigle (1:16)

18, yeah.

Craig Carton (1:18)

He also threw a couple of bad picks too.

Chris McMonigle (1:21)

The first pick at the end of regulation, and they ended up getting the ball back and still tying in the game. That pick that you thought might end the game, and then the Broncos had a terrible play call through an incomplete pass to give them another timeout, let them keep one of their timeouts anyway. That pick, you could argue, and they were, Herb Street on the broadcast was talking about.

Craig Carton (1:38)

He can't blame the wide receiver.

Chris McMonigle (1:40)

The route is run a little flat, and he's kind of fading up the field. I could see it a little bit.

Still need a better throw than that. And then the last one, he just didn't see the nickel.

Craig Carton (1:50)

It seemed weird that Herb Street kept repeating it. Like, that's not on Darnold.

SPEAKER_3 (1:54)

That's not on Darnold. I think it's on Darnold.

Chris McMonigle (1:56)

But he's right, though. The route wasn't run clean. He was leaking back towards the goal line.

Craig Carton (2:01)

Here's Ronnie Copac, I got the fan. Ronnie, good afternoon. How are you, bud?

Ronnie (2:06)

Hey, guys. Great to listen to you guys. I don't see any way we're going to lose to the Giants this week.

Craig Carton (2:11)

You're a Saints fan?

Ronnie (2:13)

I'm a Nice Stakes fan. 1978, the Archie Manning days, which we were wearing the Archie Manning jersey to the game on Sunday.

Oh, since the game back in the...

Chris McMonigle (2:24)

When they were winning those games with Archie Manning, that's when you decided to become a fan.

Joey (2:27)

Oh, yeah.

Ronnie (2:30)

We had a rough couple of years.

SPEAKER_3 (2:31)

But we did win our Super Bowl.

Ronnie (2:34)

We did win our Super Bowl, so I'm happy.

Chris McMonigle (2:36)

You did?

Ronnie (2:36)

I never thought that would happen, but... And I haven't called since that no call against the Rams the last time I actually called you guys when I guess Mike was on.

Chris McMonigle (2:45)

You picked good times to call.

SPEAKER_3 (2:46)

That was a rough one, yeah.

Ronnie (2:48)

Yeah, yeah.

But I actually think the Saints are just better. I think we're a better quarterback. And I love Winston, I think when he was on the Saints, he's definitely entertaining, a fun guy to follow and everything. I just think Shucks, I mean, I think Shucks is the real deal. He had a rough week last week against Minnesota.

Craig Carton (3:11)

Here's the problem, you guys came out of the game.
