Hey, what's poppin? We're back for another hot summer week.
On The Drew Lane Show, Brandon, Marc and Roberto in the house. And a couple quick things from the weekend, Lindsey Graham died, surprise, surprise, 71 years old. He just had a heart attack, just out of the blue? Died or murdered. Or is that coming, is that happening already?
**Marc Fellhauer** (0:32)
Yeah, cause he just got back from Ukraine, so people are like, I think Russia poisoned him.
**BranDon** (0:36)
They poisoned him.
**Drew Lane** (0:37)
Uh-huh.
**BranDon** (0:38)
Our gayest congressman.
**Drew Lane** (0:40)
Well, you know, what's incredible to me, even more weird than him dying, is this story about Mitch McConnell.
**Marc Fellhauer** (0:49)
Yeah, I would agree.
**BranDon** (0:50)
Yeah, he's been dead for weeks.
**Drew Lane** (0:52)
He was taken away with a heart attack according to his neighbor, like quietly, no sirens, all these ambulances show up and nothing in the paper. She's like, I thought I'd be reading about it, but there's nothing about it. I thought he was dead. She said she had seen him leaving the house in a wheelchair.
**Marc Fellhauer** (1:08)
Have you seen the video? Is that the one that there's a video of?
**Drew Lane** (1:11)
Yeah, you can see his feet. That's about it.
**Marc Fellhauer** (1:13)
What I thought was interesting, there seems to be just a lack of urgency, which I would think if you were alive, wouldn't they be a little more frantic? Frantic as far as getting them on that ambulance and getting them out of there to the hospital?
**Drew Lane** (1:27)
Yeah, well, it sounded like they were kind of, well, I guess the video didn't look terribly frantic, but his aides were distraught. The neighbor said she thought a couple of his aides were crying like they thought he was dead.
**Marc Fellhauer** (1:38)
That doesn't mean he's dead, but yeah.
**Drew Lane** (1:40)
No, but I mean, it's just this is a senator, an 84-year-old senator, by the way, he was freezing up for-
**Marc Fellhauer** (1:45)
That's what I was going to say, he's been looking so great lately. He's really shocked.
**Drew Lane** (1:49)
And he was falling for no reason. I mean, not even going downstairs.
**BranDon** (1:53)
Getting all these weird colored marks all over his body.
**Marc Fellhauer** (1:56)
So sad.
**Drew Lane** (1:57)
Why do we have people in these important positions that are this old? This is so stupid.
**Marc Fellhauer** (2:01)
Because their office really does all the work anyway.
**BranDon** (2:03)
Is there some weird election coming up and that's why they can't say he's dead?
**Marc Fellhauer** (2:07)
Well, that's what people are saying. Because then they'd have to have a special election because he's a member of the House, not the Senate. Senate is appointed by a governor.
**Drew Lane** (2:16)
Wait, isn't-
**Marc Fellhauer** (2:17)
So they'd have to have a special election.
**Drew Lane** (2:19)
McConnell's a senator, isn't he?
**Marc Fellhauer** (2:21)
No, he's a rep.
**Drew Lane** (2:23)
I thought McConnell was a senator from Kentucky.
**Marc Fellhauer** (2:25)
And Massie just lost in his-
**BranDon** (2:27)
Yeah, but he's the- I thought he was the Senate Republican leader.
**Marc Fellhauer** (2:33)
Okay, I thought he was a House. I thought he was a member of the House.
**Drew Lane** (2:36)
I don't know why. I always thought he was a senator.
**Marc Fellhauer** (2:39)
That's funny. Okay.
**Drew Lane** (2:39)
I mean, if I had it wrong, I always had it wrong.
**Marc Fellhauer** (2:41)
I thought he was the Speaker of the House forever and then Johnson took over. Well, that blows that-
**Drew Lane** (2:46)
We're apparently out of our depth.
**Marc Fellhauer** (2:47)
That blows that theory out of the water that people are talking about.
**Jim Bentley** (2:50)
I'm definitely not dead.
**Drew Lane** (2:52)
Lindsey Graham was in the House and then he became a Senator in 2002
Yeah. I don't know what's- that's just really strange. He looked kind of healthy, but I mean, it's always weird when it's Lindsey Graham. What is he? I mean, he's unmarried, has no kids, which people think is really unusual and weird. There's a lot of gay jokes about him. Does he have a girlfriend? I mean, is there some weeping? No, no, he's never been a guy that seems really upset in South Carolina for no reason.
I don't really care.
**Marc Fellhauer** (3:25)
I'm just asking matters.
**Drew Lane** (3:26)
Yeah, it doesn't. But it's just unusual to be undeclared.
**BranDon** (3:30)
Yeah, he denies it. But I think he says he's asexual.
