Henry Chisholm (0:01)

This is the DNVR Broncos Podcast from the Xfinity Studio. We got some music going for Victory Friday.

Andre Simone (0:07)

We're boffin.

Bennie Fowler (0:08)

Somebody's playing some great Vegas house music right now.

Henry Chisholm (0:12)

Yeah, we're above some sort of gym, I think it is.

Andre Simone (0:15)

Yeah.

Bennie Fowler (0:16)

Is it new?

SPEAKER_4 (0:16)

It's a yoga studio.

Andre Simone (0:17)

No, famously, A-Raj and his actress girlfriend were maybe working out there for a stretch years ago.

Henry Chisholm (0:29)

Yeah, it's a weird place. And apparently, they've got an important class going this morning with a lot of music going.

Andre Simone (0:35)

Or they're just like hyped for Victory Friday like we are, you know?

Henry Chisholm (0:38)

Yeah, I'm Henry Chisholm, Andre Simone, Super Bowl 50 champ and certified financial advisor, Bennie Fowler.

Andre Simone (0:45)

Tell them, tell them, baby.

Henry Chisholm (0:52)

How are we feeling? How are we feeling about the game yesterday?

Bennie Fowler (0:54)

Broncos are four and two. And so I saw a championship level defense last night. So I've seen that work out before for a team.

Henry Chisholm (1:05)

Saw that one up close.

Bennie Fowler (1:06)

Yeah, saw that one up close. And so I feel fine. I think the quarterback thing is always going to be something.

What do you guys think about Ryan Fitzpatrick and his little rant after the game?

Andre Simone (1:20)

I don't think he's earned the ability to criticize someone who's already won as much as Bo Nix has in his career. But it's the media game, you know, like we all play it differently.

When you're in the national sphere, I think it's much more of a take game and just try to earn eyeballs and create controversy. So you don't credit to him.

Bennie Fowler (1:41)

He did that.

Andre Simone (1:41)

We're talking about it.

Bennie Fowler (1:43)

Mike Florio from PFT had two different takes. And so either he thought it was staged and, you know, it's like one of those WWE wrestler moments or somebody from the Broncos inside the Broncos. A couple of people gave him that point, those points to make post game, which had me thinking.

Andre Simone (2:05)

Yeah, that does make you think that does make you think.

Bennie Fowler (2:09)

Well, yeah, I mean, as a player, that sucks. You know, if, you know, there are people inside the organization who are like, you know, here's these little tidbits to say about Bo, if the offense doesn't play well and do they try to find ways and opportunities to move him after the season. So I'm not saying that that's just what I saw in PFT and what Mike Florio said. And I don't know, he's been around the game a long time and he's seen a lot. So.

Andre Simone (2:39)

I'm sure if we started to come up with list of potential people who might be a little upset with Bo's play as a recent, we could come up with some names, maybe starting with some veteran wide receivers.

But hey, I can't believe that defense. Yeah, I've seen some amazing defensive performances from the Broncos over the years.

That one is right up there with the best of them.

Henry Chisholm (3:08)

Yeah, I won't go back to Fitzpatrick's stuff.

Andre Simone (3:11)

Oh, yeah, go.

Henry Chisholm (3:12)

Yeah. So for those who didn't hear Ryan Fitzpatrick on the post game show, I'm glad they scored the two touchdowns in the first half, but they were in four minute mode when the second half started. It was really frustrating to watch. And part of it for me is Bo Nix is not playing competitively. It's almost disrespectful to the quarterback position how he's playing football right now. Then later on said, first of all, the guy doesn't want to throw the ball. That's fine. He's throwing to the flats. He's throwing behind, but he has no trust from his coach. He calls a screenplay on third and eight, just run up and let the clock keep going. What does he do? He throws it away. Seattle gets the ball. They have a timeout. And then continues to go.

There's no fire. There's no passion.

Doesn't have to be yelling at guys, but you got to give them some sort of spark. And so one more good quote. NFL is a very special thing and right now he's taking it for granted. And it just kind of keeps going and going. There's a lot of that sort of stuff. And like we all see it. Like there is no fire from Bo Nix. Like the closest we got was when he kind of smiled on the sideline with whatever. I think that was with two minutes to go in the game.
