SPEAKER_1 (0:00)

Yeah, we'll see. Mike asked a question here. Let me pull up.

It was about the health of DCU, and then we can circle back down to your clay face point. Did that point ever come back to you, Taylor?

Taylor (0:13)

No, it's fucking gone, boys.

SPEAKER_1 (0:15)

It's fucking gone, like a water berry. So with Supergirl being a massive bomb that it is, and Lanterns seem to be a huge ratings hit despite the very lackluster hype leading up to it, really feels like the DC success rate is all over the place. What lessons do you should be, should be learned from the past of the year of DCU content? Also, what if anything could they do to win over people like Dylan, who are all bored the MCU train, but don't connect to the DC stuff?

Well, win over Dylan's like barking out the wrong, the wrongest fucking tree you've ever barked up for, you know, go climb with them, go climb with them.

Taylor (0:50)

That's a good start.

SPEAKER_1 (0:51)

Yeah, you got a better chance of all of us getting together and going climbing than him getting on the DCU train.

Taylor (0:57)

Did he ever watch the Snyder Cut? I feel like that's when he fizzled out.

SPEAKER_1 (1:00)

Yeah, he was done with the cut stuff. He, because why? I think he saw BVS and he's tamed.

He saw BVS Squad and Wonder Woman. And then obviously saw the Batman, which I was surprised by. He got early screen, which he did love. But so there you go. Kirkland for you. What do you think they take from going in the future? And then what could they do to convince the people that are just not digging the DC? What should they do to try and win over someone like Adilma? So he actually is a good example of like, he even in Superman, he's like, I might give it a chance to the new universe and gun and then by time it came around, it's like, I'm not really that interested in what they're showing. What do you do with going forward and getting people on board?

Kirk (1:37)

It's tricky because I feel like in an ironic way, it is like a collab type movie, like Justice League or something. But like my biggest complaint about the first Justice League I saw was like there was no lead up to it. Like we just got thrown with a bunch of characters that didn't really have much of a build up to that big moment. So I just didn't care for any one of them. But I mean, if you are in that route where you're not giving any of these like solo projects a shot because you are just so checked out like what is going to get them on there if it isn't like the Avengers equivalent or sorry, the Justice League equivalent type movie that is like, okay, this is the one project that I can go see.

I'll get a taste for kind of a core group of who is in this universe right now as opposed to just one individual because if it is just a standalone movie, what if they don't like that particular character or if they don't like that particular, I don't know, moveset that that superhero has. Like I, it's tough. I don't think it's-

SPEAKER_1 (2:36)

Moveset.

Kirk (2:38)

Yeah, you know, like Superman's different moveset than Wonder Woman.

SPEAKER_1 (2:42)

Oh, the shit they're doing in 616, Bob. That's a 719 reference.

Taylor (2:48)

Yeah, that's like a Battle Pass moveset right there. The 616 Jesus, Gene. What they feed you over here.

Scott.

Kirk (2:57)

Scott, let me tell you about 616 Yeah, that moveset.

Taylor (3:08)

I'm never going back, brother.

Kirk (3:13)

I love that fucking fake, fake universe movie again.

SPEAKER_1 (3:19)

From Patreon, you know what we're talking about.

Kirk (3:21)

Yeah.

SPEAKER_1 (3:22)

Yeah. Taylor.

Kirk (3:23)

That's my answer.

SPEAKER_1 (3:24)

That's your answer. So Taylor, what do they do going forward? Obviously, Supergirl Bombs. So that's a big hit against them, but Lanterns, critical hit, viewership hit. So doing well for us, has a lot of chatter, I'd say. So it's like doing all the things. So what would you do going forward? And how do you convince the people that are completely like, now I'm good on the DC bandwagon?

Taylor (3:45)

Again, it's going to come down to, I feel like Clayface, because you can put Clayface out and-

SPEAKER_1 (3:52)

It's going to come down to Clayface.

Taylor (3:54)

It's going to come down to Clayface.

SPEAKER_1 (3:55)

Not Man of Tomorrow. Clayface is the tipping point.
