Week two is over, and we're looking ahead to week three. Lots of players that have moved up and down in our rankings over at fantasypoints.com.
I'm excited to talk about a few. Today, we have a notable bounce back performance. Players that we should talk about both in the positive and the negative light. We're gonna bring you some data, we're gonna bring you some film, and we're 100% going to bring you the market report. This is Dynasty Points. It is the market report. We're at full power, and it starts right now.
Hello, everybody. Welcome back to Dynasty Points. This is the market report. I'm your host, Thomas Tipple. Joining me is always Zach Swails back, Andy Buckler. A lot of people ask me where Buck has been. Well, Buck has been busy, but Buck is the show is everything that it has been. We're gonna talk about players moving up, down, ones that have been traded, the most traded, players that are moving up and down our own rankings. Players were getting asked about continuously in the Fantasy Points Discord, which you can access right now. That link is in the description. It is free to enter. All you need is a free subscription. And of course you can get other tiers by paying for different subscriptions. You can do that. You can use promo code FPFO and get 15% off right now any subscription you need. Now that the Company Man stuff is officially out of the way, we are recording this game during the Falcons Packers game. We'll be doing our best to stay focused on task. This is Jalen Waddle.
We now have a clear defined one, two, three in terms of the pecking order. It is Waddle, Cortland Sutton and then Pat Bryant. Soon to be Pat Bryant over Cortland Sutton. Cortland Sutton looks washed. But let's talk about Waddle bouncing back after the opener, you guys. After a quiet opener, he caught eight for 138 against the Jaguars. Denver's offense pretty much ran through him. He had a 32% target share, 54% of the air yards. As I mentioned, the rotation is set in stone and Cortland Sutton himself struggled. He's getting 15% of the targets, 17% of the air yards.
He's been a fade of mine all through the draft season, and now we can kind of see again what the role is looking like. So Jalen Waldo has a nice bounce back. Zach, I'm going to go to you. What popped for you guys charting wise? Was there something different? Is this something that we can rely on moving forward?
Zach Swails (2:48)
I do strongly believe so. We saw this actually in week one. It just got shut down obviously with the abysmal play by the Broncos and the Chiefs defense overall.
But large in part, there's been off seasons going in where Denver's kind of talked about the joker role, but a true joker type of role is what you're seeing with Waldo. And stick with me, what I mean by that, because Thomas, I just saw you roll your eyes.
It's the movement piece. It's the true meaning of a joker role being able to be used all over the formation. And Davis Webb is finally unleashing Waldo to the degree that he wants to, moving him all over the formation, moving him into the slot, using motion to get him basically out on routes before the snap is even snapped, right? Because you got him on motion and you got him already on the move. And so Waldo also, you just saw him find a lot more comfort in the offense too. It was really highlighted there at the end. When he had a sick route where he literally sent the defensive back into the sideline and tripped over himself and was wide open for the game ceiling deep route. So this is everything that we were hoping for, dominating the targets, the route share. And you're right, Sutton essentially is looking like a show of himself and is at best a possession receiver and maybe a jump ball merchant in the red zone.
Thomas Tipple (4:11)
Yeah, it's looking very good for anybody that obviously bought in, traded for him. I had no choice but to move them up my tiers, which is definitely going to be... That should be published tonight or tomorrow for people wondering. I moved them right back up again. I wasn't exactly too panicked on week one.
If you guys had to guess, what do you think the average... I'll throw it to Buck. What do you think the average price is going to be for somebody like Waddle for the rest of the year? And are you willing to pay it?
