Hi, so today, we're here to learn about how Arturo Nicora networks. I've met him some time ago, and he's a really cool guy. Well, he'll introduce himself. But I've been really amazed by learning how he actually stays in touch with people, the strategies he's set up, and how he cares about this. And I thought it would be interesting for us to learn about him. So that's why I'm interviewing him here today. Hi Arturo, how are you doing?

Arturo Nicola (0:28)

I'm doing well, thank you.

Nat (0:32)

Shall we start with a little intro? Maybe you can tell us a bit about yourself, what you do.

Arturo Nicola (0:37)

Okay. So my name is Arturo Nicola, as you say. I'm Swiss Italian and I have my own company since 18 years now. And I'm working in four of the most bigger companies around the world. And we deal with training, coaching, consulting, and so mainly for soft skills.

This is mainly the description for the ocean, if you want to know more.

Nat (1:12)

Perfect. And so what does building a network, what's kind of a general sentence, what does it mean to you to build a network?

Arturo Nicola (1:23)

Building a network means to be recognized in the market, to be the person to contact when they have a need in your sector. So that means that for us, it's when people they know that they have some competencies, so performance or any, so personal people, the flowment they need, they know that we have a good program, we are very serious, we can deliver worldwide, so that's why they contact us today.

Nat (1:58)

Okay, so it's being top of mind for a specific niche or a specific problem. And like, it seems pretty obvious, but just in case, what's the benefit of this?

Why do you care about being top of mind?

Arturo Nicola (2:14)

because we have a specific motto. The first thing is that we know people, and we work with companies that they would like to make money. So this is the company we are looking for, people that they want to make money or make goods. But at the other end, those people, those companies to work with us, they need to care about their people. It is very important. So you can not only make money without caring your people, or you can not just care with your people and not make money, because the company will grow back drops. So this is the main thing, the biggest or the base of our success is that we care about people, and we care about the performance of the company. So when you have both of them, they know that we are not just selling training to sell training.

We are focused on performance, but through people. And when we say through people, so we give the skills to people to be efficient, but at the other end, to care about their colleague, their employee, the client, the stakeholders, and all the partners that they work for.

Nat (3:24)

And did you always start with this vision of making sure you really care about your clients and that you really entertain a connection, or did this come, or how did you realize that that's what you need to do?

Arturo Nicola (3:39)

Yeah, I will say that I'm a person that doesn't like to be disturbed. So when people are calling you just to try to say to you something, it was always for me a problem. So when I start my own company, I say, so how I can approach people without they feel that they really feel the need when they sell and not just me pushing the sales, which I really hate. And as I care about people, I care the problem, I care about the people.

And so for us, and for me, from the beginning I start, so all my clients, they become friends with the time. So the people they work in, big or small company, they consider me as a friend. That's why they call me today, because they need something that I can provide to them. So that's very important. So this feeling of caring, it means about people, they like you personality, but they like as well what you do. So this is the boost, and you build trust like this as well. So when you care about people, and you care about their performance, so they trust you.

Nat (4:55)

And so that makes total sense. And I think that this trust is key to making sales. So like, did you just, you were born with this realization that you need to like build relationships and build trust? Or did you realize this at some point in your career before starting your company?
