Building a Security Company for a Market That Changes Every Four Months with Shahar Bahat of Pluto Security

I am your host, Gianna Whitver, here with our fabulous guest today. We have Shahar Bahat. She is the CEO and co-founder of a new company, Pluto Security. Shahar, thank you so much for being on today.

Thank you for inviting me. I'm very excited for the discussion we're going to have today and for seeing you again. So it's amazing. I know.

It's good to see you again. You were one of the AWS CrowdStrike NVIDIA Cyber Accelerator Startup Companies, Pluto Security. Tell us, what does Pluto Security do?

**Shahar Bahat** (1:08)
So Pluto Security secure the new way employees are using now their endpoints and their environment, right? We used to have a past of using Excel and emails, and then we had chats at one point. But in the last year and massively in the last half a year, we see a huge change where every employee in the company is now building stuff using Claude Code, LavaBull, Cursor, A10, et cetera. So every employee is now manufacturing.
This is a good change because people are more productive, and the company is moving faster and you cannot do it if you want to be a great company out there. But you have to do it without compromising security and control. There's a friction there because security does not have the tools today to handle that, and this is what Pluto here to do.

So we have the tools that Pluto provides to help solve this problem of every- By the way, I love it as a marketer, I love what you just said, every person at a company, every endpoint is doing manufacturing. That was a really great visual. So what exactly is Pluto doing to help reduce the risk of every endpoint and every person creating code, documents, assets for the company using AI tools?

**Shahar Bahat** (2:17)
Yes, we provide for the security teams visibility, risk assessment, context and automatic enforcement for all of the layers of the creation and all of the things that they're doing, fully agentlessly. So with non-fiction, we also communicate it with the end user. In general, we give them the ability to see and control everything, but to enable the organization to use as much tools and as much use cases as possible. So eventually, we enable the security team to say yes to those tools, to the ecosystem they bring them, to the creation. People create applications, workflows, agents, tools, that's in a secure manner.

I love it. That's awesome. It's a very competitive space right now, and you guys are still technically in stealth. How are you viewing?
To back up a little too, you're the CEO and the co-founder of this company. How long have you been working on Pluto Security, on building this?

**Shahar Bahat** (3:08)
Pluto Security was built from a very big pain. We saw from various places we've been and people we've talked to. So we've been working on the problem space for a while, like a lot of time. And then once we figure out we had the right solution and the right people to build the absolute product that will actually solve the problem and will actually help.

**Gianna Whitver** (3:30)
You are building a company, I'm building a company, not a security company. It's in this space. But like you're building a security company, you just got back from Rsac 2026 conference, which is the official way to say Rsac 2026 conference. That's how they want you to say it. How was it? What did you think? There was so much AI, there wasn't, it wasn't as overbearing as I thought it would be, but there was a lot of tools, solutions, talk between practitioners and other company builders about the future of AI insecurity. Like Shahar, what are your observations?

Oh my God!
My first observation is that San Francisco was not built for RSA conference, and the amount of running everybody was doing was crazy, so I did a lot of sports this week. But besides that, yeah, I was running everywhere. I'm going from meeting to meeting. This is my first observation, but most important observation was about how fast things are changing. Half a year ago, even four months ago, when I told people, look, everybody in the company is now building stuff, they were like, nah.
