The Broncos off-season is in the books, and school is out for summer. Next stop, training camp at the end of July. But before we get there, I want to break down everything we learned about the Broncos, this off-season program in OTAs and in mandatory mini camp. Before we dive into the biggest things you need to know, hit us with a thumbs up and subscribe to this channel. We are here for your best Broncos news year round. And training camp is just around the corner, if you want to make sure you are subscribed. Let's dive in. And by far the biggest story is Bo Nix is back and he's gonna be ready for training camp.
Bo Nix took another step in the right direction on the final day of mandatory mini camp, which just wrapped up. He not only participated in practice, but participated in seven on sevens, which is a step in the positive direction. The only other step he has left to go, which he's going to do in training camp, is participate in team and he looked good in seven on sevens. That ankle looked good and his arm looked good. He was on the money in seven on sevens. He attempted four passes. His first one was a highlight real pass and catch to RJ. Harvey in the end zone for a touchdown. Sean Payton said, I'm happy we got that one on film so we can play that over and over and over this summer. So stay tuned to the Broncos social media for that highlight because we weren't allowed to shoot that unfortunately. He then went on to complete a pass to Marvin Mims and Troy Franklin. He looked very sharp, so very, very good news with Bo Nix. And of course, he was a little delayed. There was a little bit of bad news mixed in, but we found out that it wasn't as bad as we thought. He had the surgery on his ankle at the end of January after suffering that playoff, that break in his ankle in the playoff win against the Bills. Then he had a clean up in the end of April because of bone spurs, but he was ahead of schedule so he got that surgery done way ahead of time and now he's going to be full set ready to go for training camp. He's called feel great right now. Doctors told him that an ankle looks as good as new and he did participate in this mandatory mini camp. So really good to see. He even said if he needed to go full right now, he could go full and I believe it. So great news on Bo Nix and Bo Nix, he's confident that this is not going to change the way he plays the game. He is not concerned about his mobility moving forward. Sean Payton isn't and neither is Bo. In fact, when Bo was asked about his concern about his mobility moving forward, he said the only concern I have is this is the best my ankle has felt in a long time. So my only concern is I might be too mobile now. So that's very good news because Sean Payton called that a superpower of his, his ability to run and move. So that's very, very key and he believes that this is going to help the Broncos be on their way to maybe achieving another, their fourth Super Bowl and Sean Payton and Bo's first in Denver because Bo said winning a playoff game last year gave him the belief that he can do anything. He and this team can do absolutely anything. So that's very good news for the Broncos moving forward. When they get in this situation next year, Bo's going to have no doubt that he's going to be confident going in to playoff games. And he said, I love it when the ball's in my hands at the end of games. And he's played some of his best games when coming off of ankle injuries. In fact, he won a high school state championship after he broke his ankle. Then the next time he broke his ankle, he went on to go and have a fantastic season at his first year at Oregon. And now he just broke his ankle. And we'll see what he's able to do right now because his goals for this coming year, Super Bowl and MVP. Before we get to other big things non-Bo Nix related, hit us with a thumbs up, subscribe to this channel. We really appreciate it. We're delivering you the best Broncos news out there. Of course, the next big takeaway is Jonathon Cooper. And what's happened with him over the past two weeks has been not a good situation. Arrested twice, he's charged with a felony. He is excused from the Broncos mandatory mini camp while he deals with his issues.
