Welcome to The Ringer Fantasy Football Show. My name is Danny Heifetz, and I'm joined by Danny Kelly and Craig Horlbeck. And today we are going over week one of the NFL season because we're here, football has already been played.
Craig, season's here.
Danny Kelly (1:31)
Season's here. I can't believe that the Seahawks won by 100 points.
That's a record. That's amazing. No, we are going to be reacting to the Seahawks Patriots game, but we're going to be doing that on the Bill Simmons podcast live after the game, which is like you'll have already. This is in the future. So if you want to hear us recap that game, you'll have to go to the Bill Simmons podcast feed. You probably already knew that, but just letting you know.
Danny Heifetz (1:56)
We're like Kyle Shanahan. This is usually going to be our Friday episode, but this week it's on Thursday, and then we're reacting to the season opener that's usually on Thursday, but they did that on Wednesday. But yeah, so our reaction to Seahawks Patriots is on Bill's show, and that is up probably now wherever you're listening. But we're also going to have reaction to the Niners Rams Australia game. Maybe it's going to be a fiasco. We'll see. That will be up on Friday, and we'll make our Ringer 107 picks on that one as well. What's so funny about Australia, DK?
Danny Kelly (2:21)
Fiasco. Fiasco?
Danny Heifetz (2:23)
Fiasco? Well, the way I say fiasco is a fiasco. It's not English. It's fine.
Anyway, we're going to go through, and this is going to be our Friday preview for this season. And we're going to do a little spin on it this year, right, Craig?
Danny Kelly (2:36)
Yeah.
The way we want to approach this year's preview show is we're going to give one stat for every game. Each of us are going to provide one stat for every game. That kind of stood out to us. This is our way into the game, something that piqued our interest. So we're going to go through every single game preview, every single game, but through the lens of the kind of the one stat, the one fact, the one notable thing that jumped out to us. And we're probably going to start a little unconventionally here because we're going to start with the Raiders Dolphins game. Isn't that right? We are.
Danny Heifetz (3:05)
But first, we're going to take, we're going to throw to a quick conveniently timed advertisement.
Danny Kelly (3:09)
Oh, that's right. Okay. Yeah. Break. Boom.
Danny Heifetz (3:13)

All right, we're back from an incredibly well, conveniently timed advertisement.
Danny Kelly (3:53)
That was so smooth, man.
Danny Heifetz (3:55)
That's why we're pros.
Craig Horlbeck (3:56)
Love when a plan comes together.
Danny Kelly (3:58)
Yeah.
Danny Heifetz (3:59)
Danny Kelly. Yo, the game everyone's waiting for. Miami Dolphins at Las Vegas Raiders. We've all waited nine months for this game.
Danny Kelly (4:07)
What's your one stat, OK?
Craig Horlbeck (4:10)
Well, I was going to have a very interesting stat, which was the Dolphins are starting two rookie receivers. But something bigger happened in, you know, like right before the show started recording, which is Brock Bowers, superstar sexual football robot, Brock Bowers. I added the sexual part.
